“A great experience and base for Hong Kong.”
We found the deluxe room ideal for our 6 day stay in which we did everything on the 'to see' list in Hong Kong. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with any request. Our room faced the Happy Valley Stadium and it was great to go and watch the races on a Wed night. We used both taxi and MTR to get around, taxi's are only a couple of pounds - cheaper than here in the UK. Found the mixture of what you can do great, ie SOHO, Aguilera Road, Mes Amiees and then Lockhart Road on a night. The flight was just so long to get there.
“A great base for touring Hong Kong”
We spent 8 days at this hotel in early November and were very impressed. Our room was slightly small and we would have preferred more wardrobe space but otherwise it was perfect for our needs. On the first night I dropped a bottle of nail varnish in the bathroom - catastrophe! It went all over the shower curtain, the toilet and the marble floor. The Housekeeping staff could not have been more accommodating in sorting out the matter immediately. The shuttle bus was particularly useful and we felt the hotel was well placed for getting around Hong Kong. However there were plenty of good value local buses and also the tram (great fun) which passed close to the Cosmopolitan We would have no hesitation in booking at the Cosmopolitan again next time we visit Hong Kong.
“Great Value, Good Service, Polite Staff, Great location”
When I checked in I upgraded my room to ensure a view of the buildings in Causway Bay. It was a fair price to pay considering it was exceptional panarama over the entire race track and streets and gardens. With the ubiquitious buildings in HK I can only imagine such a vista is hard to come by. The room was serviced daily and kept exceptionally clean and comfortable the whole time. You can control the temperature easily and complimentary water and breakfast were included in the price. No surprises when checking out, just two (out of three) days internet usage charge - total price I think was $40HKD, half the price of a beer. When I left for the airport, I asked that they book me a taxi which was waiting for me at check out - and when I stupidly left my iphone on the seat of the taxi, it was kindly returned (pays to tip the taxi) to the hotel and they kept it safe so a friend of mine could pick it up and return it fed ex. I loved HK, as an urban designer it is an extremely volumetric city with rail over rail under roads and walkways with trams and bikes, buses and cars all contesting the space inbetween the buildings. People walk on overpasses and travelators, escalators, subways and lifts - avioding the infrastructure, but there are no seats anywhere - unless you want to pay for a place to sit. It's a city of dissapearance, land reclaimation, unprecedented intensification and rationalality. No doubt I'll return and when I do, you can find me at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
“Cosmopolitan is good..”
Stayed here for 1 week, good service, neat & tidy rooms, no complaints
“Good location for a nice affordable hotel”
A nice hotel that while a little walk from the nearest MRT stop (10 min walk) is still really well located to see the sights from. Hotel was nice and clean - and the staff friendly. My only real complaint would be that it's not free wifi in your room, only in the lobby and restaurants. All in all though, great value for money and would happily stop there again
“Would definately stay there again!”
The location was great. A short walk and you are at Causeway Bay MTR(subway rail) station and have access to one of the best public transit systems I have seen. Local shopping areas are about 10 min walk. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant and tenative to my needs. Most ammenities were provided in the room, i.e. hair dryer, coffee/tea, toiletries. All in all it was a very great experience with the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
“Central location - 15 minute walk to many attractions.”
Good hotel. Central location - 15 minute walk to many attractions.
“Short stay in Hong Kong”
The Cosmopolitan was a nice relief for us. It was a group of 3 ladies from the US, and we shared a room with 2 double beds. The room was quite spacious by HK standards. The staff was very attentive, from the concierge to front desk and cleaning staff. The hotel had a shuttle to time square and a whole bunch of other places which was nice. Also, the metro stop was right in front of the hotel which was very convenient. I would say the location is fairly central and the best value of your money. The only draw back was that the wi-fi in the room wasn't free, the 'free wifi' description is misleading as it's only free in the hotel lobby. A side consequence to that is there was always people in the lobby using their laptops etc. Overall, we had a very good stay at Cosmpolitan hotel.
“loved it - will go back”
i loved it. clean. good service. convenient shuttle. good location. complimentary water was a key bonus. it seemed like they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant.
“Would definately recommend”
We could not find any fault with this hotel at all, the staff were very helpful, the hotel very clean. Location was very good, also the hotel shuttle to and from Times Square was excellent, it was always on time and ran every 20 minutes. If we ever go back to Hong Kong i would definately stay at this hotel again.
