“Nice stay in a small town”

Very pleasant small town hotel located within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants. The room was pleasant and very clean, but a little small. I plan to stay here again later this spring. Houghton got 8" of snow one day during my stay and the plowing was very fast.

“Interesting set up”

Due to the hills in the surrounding area, this hotel was spread out, and only connected by long hallways. Rooms are secluded enough for privacy, yet everything was very accessible. Would go back in a heart beat! The only drawback was construction in and around Houghton downtown.

“Needed Quality Budget, and TraveLodge Delivered”

I'm from Las Vegas; I've also traveled quite a bit--I've experienced a wide range of hotel quality. Sometimes, I just need a good, clean, friendly budget hotel in a good location--this room was decent, had basic amenities, a super-friendly and helpful staff, and was located in a perfect place to just walk and see or take off for the day. Basic cable tv, basic room---but if budget is important, this is a great place to stay. I will be back there soon.

“Would stay again in a heartbeat!”

The Travelodge was an excellent choice! I brought my 1 year old Golden/Lab "puppy" on his first big adventure, so a pet-friendly hotel was a must. Being pet-friendly, you might expect some animal-related odors but there were none. The hotel staff were wonderful about anything we needed. All were very friendly and helpful. The next time I go up to visit my daughter at Tech, I hope they have a vacancy!

“Would stay here again. Great location”

We were very pleased with the location of this motel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is older but has been updared and was clean. Good breakfast. Pleasant stay. Be sure to visit the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum of Mich at the University.

“Great for Hockey Weekends”

Great place to stay for the rate. Pool hot-tub and breakfast. Close walking distance to the bars.
