Hotel ICON Autograph Collection's two-level lobby, known as the Colonnade, is an opulent gathering place with intricately carved ceiling, arched windows, 30-foot columns, and sitting areas with cherry-red and moss-green velvet chairs. Behind the front desk, the original bank-vault door from 1911 is a monument to the building's past.
The hotel's Balance Day Spa has four treatment suites, a boutique, relaxation areas, and women's and men's locker rooms. Guests can order meals from the LINE & LARIAT restaurant for in-spa dining. “Great hotel, would stay again”
Room was great and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern & spacious with a jetted tub and large shower. Hotel is within walking distance of some restaurants, but restaurant/room service at the hotel was great too. They also have a nice bar which has a relaxed vibe and serves great appetizers. Free shuttle service was a plus since Houston is spread out and shopping and shows are out of walking distance. Plus, cabs can be hard to come by in the area. I travelled to Houston for a show at the House of Blues. Icon was not the closest, but I appreciated that they are one of the few LGBT welcoming hotels in Houston. I travel a lot for work and would easily rate Icon with a Westin or Marriott (only with a more boutique feel).
“Excellent Hotel for the Price”
The Icon is well appointed and had excellent service for a price significantly lower than other competing Houston 5-star hotels. The complimentary on-demand pick-up and drop off service around Houston is extremely convenient. I recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

The Hotel is fabulous, though it is in a quiet area; I wish they could pick it up and move it to Galleria.

Very classy place, rooms were beautiful and immaculate, hotel workers were friendly and helpful
“Nice stay”
Hotel was beautiful, staff was friendly. The room was spacious and nice. They offered a complimentary drink upon arrival which was quite nice after a long day of commuting. They offer complimentary wine around 5pm which was also very nice. Only downside is the parking is outrageous at 27 dollars a night. So add that into the price.
“Very nice hotel, well located, comfortable room”
We arrived late evening and staff was pretty inattentive (eating a bowl of cereal at the front desk when we walked up!). But the hotel is beautiful inside w/ colorful interiors in common areas and rooms. We had a deluxe king room that had ample space and a very nice bath area. TVs are crummy but i'm sure upgrade is coming. Wonderful example of an office-to-hotel renovation that works!
“Short but sweet”
We only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was wonderful and the bathroom was huge!

Hotel Icon is everything it claims to be. It's a wonderful room in a wonderful building with wonderful service. I would recommend it to anyone.
“ICON”
One of the best Hotels in Houston. Expedia offers great pricing and special deals on this five star hotel. The rooms are huge, the bathrooms even better. Make sure to get a superior king or better to take advantage of the jetted tub! They also have specialty suites with multiple levels, dining rooms, even clawfooted bathtubs in the bedroom. They have an on site spa, great work out facilties, and great lobby bar. Pamper yourself and schedule a getaway for a weekend or plan your next business trip around some relaxing offtime at the ICON!
