"Built as one of the great railway hotels in 1925, the Esplanade still has a grand feel about it. For what you pay (not much compared to 5 star hotels in Europe) it is a wonderful place. Bar is friendly and the cocktails are good with lots of local options. Had breakfast and it was good with a selection of local items. Bit of a walk (15 minutes) to the old part of town but Zagreb is a small place and easy to walk around. I enjoyed walking through the parks to get to the more interesting areas...

"The property is situated on the river, walking bridge and closed to the central part of Osijek. The accommodation is very nice and well maintained. We had a little hiccup with a leak with the shower. The staff is very friendly and professional. "

"Lovely room - really nice and the breakfast is really brilliant - you can have fresh juiced pressed, and tonnes on offer. but the rooftop bar and swimming pool was closed for a party for the one night we stayed there which I think was really bad form to not inform us of and charge the same amount - as it’s clearly a selling point of the hotel. "

"The hotel had a comfortable bed with blockout curtains and all the amenities one would want in a room . It’s a two mike walk to the old town and restaurants but for us it was good to walk back after dinner . One can catch an Uber or tram so convenient I guess . The shower had good force but there was something about it that made the water too hot or cold but worked out regardless . Wish I could have spent time in the jacuzzi and pool which looked inviting and awesome . "
