“Good travelers hotel”
hotel was new, clean; we were in town to visit relatives so didn't spend much time at the hotel during the day, pool area small and hotel was far enough away from beach that wouldn't reccomend if looking for a beach vacation. Perfect for our needs though, room was very good size.
“Fresh, Modern, Well Priced”
We remember Holiday Inns from the old days when they were bland, unexciting, and the best you could say about them was there were no surprises. But the room we walked into at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Jacksonville Beach-Mayport had a fresh, appealing design that was both stylish and comfortable. We had a pillowtop king room and the bed was super comfortable. Lots of space for working, free wifi, a seating area with couch--it was a well-thought-out room for a business traveler that was just as enjoyable for two vacationers. Great complimentary breakfast in the lobby included more than the usual options. And there were trays so you could carry coffee back to the room. (The room also had a coffee maker.) Desk staff was always cheerful and helpful.
“Perfect for one night stay near Naval Station Mayport”
My wife and I attended an event at Naval Station Mayport and needed a room for one night. Great room, great service and less than five minutes from the base.

“Clean hotel”
It's nice and clean, linens are also clean. Rooms are big (king size bed) Swimming pool is okay, small but enough to enjoy swimming if you don't want to go to the beach. Staff are very pleasant and friendly.
“Great for what we needed”
Were there to visit our son in the Navy and it was close to him. Also not that far from good food and drinks. Hotel, itself was very clean and staff was friendly. l
“Poor location/neighborhood.”
Everything was fine within the hotel, large lobby with good area for complimentary breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. The problem was the immediate neighborhood, and lack of nearby restaaurants.
“Walls are paper thin”
The hotel was fairly clean, room had a lot of dust in it on the lamps, bathroom counter ledge, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful (the best asset of the hotel). The one thing we did not like about the hotel was the thinness of the walls. The person in the room next to us snored very loudly all night and we heard every breath and snore. Ruined our restul night. Other than that the hotel is a nice facility
“OK”
Our room had a musty smell and felt very humid. I also did not like that the pool closed at 6pm. After cruising around town all day it would have been nice to be able to relax and take a swim.
“bad smell”
the room smelled, for a new building it was bad and the vent in the bathroom didnt work either
