“Very confortable and good value for money”
Stayed for a weekend whilst visiting family. It's an old and quite elegant building, and was very competitively priced. Didn't actually spend much time inside the hotel as we were out most of the day and evenings, but we were very pleased with the room and facilties. Bed was large and comfy, and room was large with nice sea views. Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet, and outshone the two major chain hotels we also used on the trip. I'm a Brit living in US, and would say the bacon was the best I'd had in ages - would return for that alone!! Room and bathroom were well cleaned and functional, and all staff were pleasant and helpful. A few little quirks - the elevator is a little slow, and there was a little noise from a family/wedding party/reception there on the Saturday, but these things were certainly not enough to prevent a very positive overall opinion. I thought it was great value and will definitely use it again when we next visit Folkestone.
“Very good value for money”
The staff were friendly & helpful, the room was clean & well presented, the location was perfect for what we needed - what more is there to say :0) definatley recommended.
“Quiet comfortable and central”
Lovely big old hotel
“Stopover in Folkestone”
This hotel is very handy for eurotunnel and ports. They were very friendly and supplied water and bedding for our dog. The hotel is close to a very pleasant walk along the seafront.
“Served the purpose well”
Very good 3 star hotel "does what it says on the tin"
“Peaceful haven”
Lovely old fashioned hotel set in the quieter part of town. Ideal for lovely walks along coastel path overlooking beach which was a steep walk down. We used it as a stop off on route to cannel tunnel. Had booked a triple room but was allocated a family room of three singles and a put up bed. Room was very spacious overlooking beautiful gardens. We didnt eat in the hotel partly because we were on a room only basis and were out most of the time.We were a little disapointed that on returning to the hotel at approx 9 p.m. no facilities were available to obtain even a sandwich. This was also the case in the neighbouring hotel. I would definately return to this hotel and would definately recommend it to others.
“A lovely pet friendly hotel”
A lovely hotel, apart from being annoyed at having to wait for 45 minutes for our room to be ready (arrived at 4pm) Pet friendly with lots of great walks nearby for the dog Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice and plenty of it!
“More than adequate”
Friendly receptionist, excellent clean room, seems freshly refurbished. Negatives? TV reception not perfect, a bit lacking in soundproofing, but way ahead of the usual English hotel
“Burlington Hotel”
Very professional and welcoming staff. Dinner in restaurant of good quality and very good service. In common with many English hotels the coffee with beakfast was extremely poor.
“Good choice for short break in Kent”
It was a nice hotel. Good location. The room was a bit smaller than anticipated but the bathroom was newly renovated and a good size. We booked an offer of half price and that is what it was worth. i would have been very disappointed if i would have paid full price for the room. The Hotel though has great potential and friendly staff. No Wi-Fi
