It was really disappointing that there was no coin laundry even though it was in the hotel listing. But otherwise the rooms, while small, are well thought out and convenient and the location is fantastic.,

This hotel is good if all you care about is location but avoid at all costs if you care about having a nice stay. This hotel is very conveniently located right next to Yasaka shrine and the heart of Gion. But it was unacceptably dirty, loud, and worst of all, the entire place smelled of cigarette smoke (except for the lobby of course). Tried to touch it out and stayed one night, but slept horribly because it smelled and was loud and gross, so cancelled the rest of my stay and moved to another hotel that was much nicer (albeit a 10 minute walk off the beaten path). The staff was very accommodating and let me easily cancel the rest of my stay and were very apologetic. But definitely would never stay here under any circumstances.

The place looks nothing like the photo . It’s very small old and dirty . The bathroom door is actually a clear plastic, the same faucet for the shower and tiny sink . No space to put anything. We moved the beds to put together and there was food under the bed . Hairs in the bathroom. We where sure we got a nice a hotel bit it was worse than worse .

The hotel is located in Gion, which is near to temple and shops/restaurants. A perfect location. Rooms are a little small, but the convenience of the hotel is more important. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor.

Room was to small (narrow and long) to be comfortably useful. I was able to touch from wall to wall with outspread arms. The only advantage to staying here is location. Area is very popular and almost always highly populated. Personally I would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

The rooms were the smallest of any place we stayed in Japan, but they were very clean and convenient. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. They helped me fill out the forms to forward our luggage to the airport. Excellent location right in the heart of the Gion neighborhood.

Hotel was exactly as advertised. Clean rooms and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The rooms are small with little walking space - but that was to be expected as is standard for Japanese hotels. This hotel is right in the heart of the Gion district which was important to us.

I love the details of this beautiful hotel, the folded origami crane on sleeping gown; the clever designed water facet that share between shower and sink; the great location that is in walking distance to all the cool restaurants and temples.... A great place to stay, can't say more about it.
