Wonderful location walking to Nishiki market. Convenient to ride public transportation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants and other eating options.

Room great, staff amazing. Location unbeatable. Make sure dryer is 1/3 full, no more, it will not dry. The adjacent cemetery is beautiful, and there's privacy screens on the window if you're uncomfortable with cemeteries. Night clubs closish, but we slept fine with our window open. Will return if in the area again.

excellent location very near the Teramachi and main shopping area in Kyoto. Do note that the room I had was installed with a Unit bath that is an integrated toilet and bath/shower. The issue is that the entire bathroom is literally a step up into in so one needs to be careful

Nice and clean hotel with convenient distance to shopping, dining and transportation. Room are relatively large. I just wish the default temperature was set to a bit warmer number.

We loved our stay in Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto. The room was bigger than I expected and the beds were really comfortable. It's close to public transportation and only a few minutes walk from Nishiki market and lots of shopping area. The staff was also great and they helped us set up the luggage service to our hotel in Tokyo. I'd definitely stay with them when i come back to Kyoto

The room was too hot, we couldn’t change the temperature. They told us to open the window and use a fan they would give to us. It was freezing cold outside! The manager told us it was an old building and there was nothing they could do. We canceled our reservation and went somewhere else.

Our air conditioning system is centrally controlled, allowing adjustments to temperature and direction, but unfortunately, it does not permit changes between cooling and heating. Additionally, our current solution for this issue is providing an electric fan and allowing the window to be unlocked, as we acknowledge the limitation.While we regret that we couldn't meet your expectations and couldn't welcome you, we hope the rest of your Kyoto trip after your leave and your stay at another hotel were fantastic.Thank you for your feedback.

The hotel overall was all that we needed but the wifi is probably the only thing I could complain about. Too slow and spotty most times. Room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. They helped me to fill in the paper work for our luggage to be sent to our next destination.

The location is convenient, pretty close to a lot of bus stops as well as the subway. There's is a 7-eleven right around the corner (and a FamilyMart nearby as well). The room is much more spacious than expected. They provide the typical amenities such as water, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. The beds were comfortable. I wish the hotel had advertised earlier that the temperature of the rooms are centralized so you can't make it colder or hotter. The signs noted to ask for a fan to help cool the room down, which we did, as well as open the window. My biggest issue was the service here. I have never been to a 3 or 4 star hotel that refused to assist with organizing a taxi from the hotel to the train station. I asked twice on two different days and both staff members told me getting a taxi would be as simple as walking down the street to the taxi stand (however I knew it would be difficult because there would be 4 of us, with large luggages, and in the early morning (6am) AND IT WAS. We managed to catch a van taxi but it cut it close, literally 5 minutes before the train left.

We traveled with friends and really loved the conference table in the lobby. We were able to gather and have a snack or breakfast and just hang out because there were 9 of us traveling together. The location was great and close to everything we needed.

Ms Togashi (Clair) at the front desk has been a super star. She was patient with us in helping with local tour when our planned tour operator backed off last minute, places to eat and visit and things to do around the place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the room was small. We were disallowed from controlling our own temperature in the room. The bathroom had a persistent odor from the drain. The only way to get fresh air was to open the window, but doing so left no screen against insects or birds, and only a small chain would prevent someone from falling out. Still, the location was excellent and easy to get to, and the facility overall was quite clean.
