“Cajun Friendly”
Hotel is well situated, close to all the touriest attractions and major byways.
“Great breakfast”
The free breakfast was great. The elevator was broken, but the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The sitting room section is convenient on business.
“beautiful concept - poor execution”
The hotel is well designed and located. The service is friendly but I had to explain the concept of pre-paid internet rates when I was checking out to a new desk clerk who was working alone (she was being trained when we checked in the night before but didn't remember what she was told about internet rates). The room is large with very high ceilings and a thoughtful layout, but poorly appointed. The deoderizer used in the room was overpowering. The sheets were coarse and uncomfortable. The king bed was placed too tightly against the air conditioner so the room didn't cool well and it was difficult to get into/out of the bed. The television was placed so you could view it from the bed, but when swiveled to watch from the couch, it couldn't be seen from half the couch. I'll try a different hotel the next time I'm in the area, but there's nothing terrible about the Comfort Suites, so I will stay there if I don't find anything better.
