“Very Happy with Squaw Valley Lodge”
Stayed at SVL the first week of April and were very happy. It's clearly a condo facility and not a 5 star hotel but it does not pretend to be otherwise. Our studio was perferect for the three of us and appered to ether be reciently be refurbished or was just in great shape. Truly was ski in/ski out right under the gondola and five good kicks to KT22 Express. To the folks who complain about food in the village they must have been there at a different time than we were. We at ate Fireside Pizza, High Sierra Grill, and the Alud Dubliner and had wonderfull meals and service at each. Sking was epic. It just keeps snowing and snowing in the Sierras this year. GO THERE THIS SPRING if you can. We also skied at Alpine Medows and Northstar which were all very easy drives when it was dry and hazardous trips when it was snsowing 3 inches per hour!
“good place”
close to lifts... good fitness room... comfortable quarters... friendly staff...
“Wonderful view”
We could see the mountain right out our window and we could watch people skiing down the mountain as well. The hotel has a very helpful staff and many things to do in the immediate area
“Very impressed”
Pros:Excellent facilities overall.Family friendly. Cons:If you need a access to internet bring your vallet, you have to pay for it.
“wonderful exerience "gold medal "”
Had a great time in the area . Facility over all very good .Convenient to a variety destinations. Room was furnished very nicely .Great to have small fridge , microwave , and although not used , a range top. Pool and outdoor hot tube as well as 3 indoor hot tubes and nicely furnished exercise room . Would be good if exercise facility was open 24 hours rather more defined hours . Many good places to eat lunch dinner in Olympic Valley that were walkable from the lodge but breakfast places were lacking . Highly recommended during 4th July period . Was able to see fireworks on the 3rd and 4th over Lake Tahoe at Kings and Commons Beach . Olympic bike rental in Tahoe City had good road bikes ( Cannondale and Trek ) if into higher end bike rentals .
“Very restful place; very pleasant staff”
Went during the off-season for weekend getaway and was very pleased. Great location for outdoor enthusiasts -- great biking, hiking, running right outside the door. Friendly staff, clean and modern room with a nicer kitchen than I have at home. Highly recommended.
“Relaxing, nurturing environment”
Wonderful place to relax, recharge, even while working! The hike up to the mountaintop travels along a large stream of snowmelt, rushing water and waterfalls, and an incredible array of wildflowers along the way.
“seems a little too time-share...but the stay is always excellent.”
great
“Wonderful Accomodations”
The staff was very helpful in finding us restaurants and providing information about the area. The rooms were spacious, modern, well equipped, and clean. Beautiful pool which was centrally located and convenient. We spent a wonderful weekend at the Squaw Valley Lodge and plan to return.
“Rated best family holiday yet”
7 nights with 2 boys and husband and everyone came away looking forward to returning next year. Ski-in, ski- out was a BIG plus. Room comfortable and very clean. Work out room we didn't have time to use but did soak in the spa and had a lively game of ping-pong. Short walk to lifts and restaurants.
