“Great location.”
We recently spent 10 wonderful days at the La Penita Apartments in December 2007. We were allocated an very spacious ground floor apartment overlooking the pool and facing south, which meant that we got the sun all day.The staff were very friendly and the apartment was kept very clean. The location was perfect as it is so near to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Puerto del Carmen. We would certainly go back to La Penita again.

Throughtout our stay staff at bar and reception went out of their way to be helpful. The food and drink at pool side bar was reasonably priced which made a nice change. Very easy to walk down the stairs at front of hotel straight onto the strip but no noise from the strip audible from the hotel itself. When we return to Puerto Del Carmen we will definatley use this hotel again.

I read great reviews before travelling and they were all accurate. The apartments were spotless, any problems were sorted immediately with no fuss whatsoever. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The food at the bistro was as good as any of the restrants we ate at and the bonus was that you could take it to your apartment to eat if you wished. A lovely relaxing holiday experience.
“Good Location”
These apartments are situated just behind the main road and close to all the shops and restaurants. The standard of the equipment supplied is very good, and the rooms are maintained to a high standard. We liked the fact that you could arrange for your room to be cleaned when it was convenient to you, within a given time frame.

“La Penita Apartments - VFM and more.”
We stayed at the La Penita Apartments for a week over Christmas to New Year 2011. We booked on the basis of good reviews and we were not disappointed. Our room was very clean and well maintained. It had one bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with bath/shower, toilet, sink and bidet and an open-plan kitchen/diner/living room. The living room had a bed/seatee pull-out which could sleep two adults. The kitchen had a refridgerator, microwave, sink and two electric burner hotplates. Pots, pans, dishes and cutlery were also provided. The hotel sits on an elevated position about 200 metres from the beach which you can access by using several exits and pathways. The hotel's pool and grounds were very well kept up and in addition to the pool there is a tennis court and children's play area. The only negatives to report was a lack of hot water after late morning, the free wifi was not strong and the living room bed/seatee would probably not suit an adult above average height. We did not eat in the hotel's bar/cafe so cannot report if it was good or bad although the prices seemed very reasonable. The area surrounding the hotel near the beach has a large number of shops, bars and restaurants so you don't have to go far to eat or buy supplies. The local council also appear to be upgrading the district and while we were there they were just completing a dedicated bike path which runs alongside the main road leading into the old town and harbour area. All in all a 5 star experience.
“Excellent value for money”
Exactly what we wanted, Nice pool area lots of sunbeds Clean and spacious apartment, looking a bit tired, the bathroom in particular 1 minute from the front and all the cafes and shops very helpful and friendle staff
