“we visit at least once a year”
my wife and I have been coming to the Faros for many years and have not ever had one complaint, the staff are very polite and helpful, the rooms always clean. A great hotel.
“prime location”
just got back from ayia napa, cyprus, 1st time there and stayed at the Faros Hotel. wot more can i say, absolutely great hotel, cannot fault it at all. weather beautiful, great place and ideally located. 2 mins from harbour, beach and 5 mins walk to the busling famous square. there is plenty of different pubs for everyone. we ate most days at the queen vic pub which i would recommend to anyone, food spot on and massive portions! cant wait to go back and would definately recommend staying at the Faros Hotel again.
“A Mediterranean Dream”
The hotel is superb, it is a few metres away from the lively night life of Ayia Napa or better call it the heart of Ayia Napa. The swimming pool is quite big (approx 50 metres) and is suitable for both adults as well as for children, there is also a pool bar where one can enjoy a good cocktail in the pool. The food is superb and if you take one of the hotel suites then you are taking the best. Suites overlook the pool and the hotel's garden. The food is excellent and there is also lots of activity going on during the day, such as food demonstration and every night with a different cuisine such as Sunday is carvery night, monday is italian night, tuesday cyprus night .... The hotel is listed as 3* but I would rate it as 4*, it is mostly visited by German people.
“Convenient and comfortable”
The Faros could not be more conveniently placed. It's right at the bottom of the road between the square in Ayia Napa and the beach. On arrival, we were met by extremely helpful reception staff, who wre aware of our late arrival time. The room was comfortable and very clean if a little dated in it's decor. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety on offer, lots of healthy options as well as the usual bacon and eggs. The pool area is beautiful, no other word to describe it, with a "jacussi" area, a swim up bar and lovely landscaping. The only thing about the experience that I found a little strange, were the number of residents from the Eastern Block. There weren't many Brits there at all, which didn't really bother us, I just thought it worth mentioning, because if you're the type of person who likes to chat round the pool with other guests, you might struggle. Still, The Faros is a lovely hotel, and we loved staying there. So much so, In fact, that we're booking again for next year.
“Faros Hotel”
The hotel is well situated near the harbour, the room was good although we had to change it because of the noise of the adjacent lift but the reception agreed to this with no argument. The pool was fine, as was the breakfast. The staff were pleasant.
“Great location”
Close to the beach, walking distance to night clubs/restaurants/bars, great staff/service
“Very Good Hotel”
Good quality rooms, good service, excellent breakfast.
“It's okay...”
The hotel was okay...The bed was two twin beds pushed together instead of a king size. One of the beds were constantly squeeking. Also, the shower was continously going off because it wasn't getting enough water pressure. It is really close to the beach though. Oh yeah, they didn't have Wifi available. It cost two euros for every fifteen minutes to use their internet service. Like I said...this was just an okay hotel.
“basic hotel, good breakfast, uncomfortable matress”
affordable hotel with the basic amenities
“great location but not a great hotel”
the location was great but the hotel was not informative atall. the rooms were not very clean. had a tiny tv and nothing great to remember.the only positive remains to be the location which was right on the beach close to all major amenities and the food courts.
