“Cool hotel in a quaint setting”
While on vacation in Ireland, we had everything you could ask for in a hotel. The rooms were a nice size and beds comfortable. The staff were very pleasant & accommodating, always eager to give helpful information and advice on anything we asked about. When we checked out, we were even given helpful suggestions on what to see in Galway, our next destination on our trip. I have not encountered a more friendly and helpful staff than I did at the Courtyard Hotel. Our room overlooked a gazebo and landscaped area between the hotel and the RIver Liffey. There was also a walking path that followed the river for a ways. The courtyard area adjacent to the bar and restaurant had a widescreen TV with tables in an outdoor, but heated area during the cooler weather and outside seating with no enclosure as well. Soccer is always on tap and even if you are not a soccer follower, it is interesting to sit and take in the revelry of fans cheering on their team. Leixlip is a wonderful little town to be situated in. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were a bit concerned that it might be too much travel time to the city centre and back, but the bus service to Leixlip (and all parts of greater Dublin for that matter) is very good. As long as you don't ride during rush hour or when the schools are letting out, it is about a 30 minute ride to the city centre. We also found some really nice restaurants within short walking distance from the hotel. I highly recommend Da Vinci's and Alvito's.
“First class hotel in every respect.”
Close to Dublin (easy access by bus or train) and very reasonably priced with special offers often available. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the service is of the highest quality. Food in bothe the restauant and bar excellent - thoroughly recommended.
“Great for Group Gatherings”
You can eat, drink, party then sleep and never have to leave the hotel. Breakfast is amazing and not to be missed. Outside courtyard with jumbotron TV ideal for viewing big games etc. Murphy's bar across the street is also excellent. Arthur's Bar - Piano Bar in the hotel was hopping busy on the Saturday night I was there - my 50 cousins and I took over a large section. Ask for Owen at the front desk - he'll take good care of you. A bit of a hike if you want to take the bus into town - about 40 min. but I think it was a 20 euro ride home..can't remember - we had visited the brewery that day! Cheers - tanks a million!
“Pleasant pre flight hotel”
Beautiful hotel in a town about 30 minutes from the Dublin airport. Excellent restaurant in the hotel with fixed price dinners including a bottle ofnwine. Lovely courtyard area and lotsnof parking.
“Great hotel great location great friendly staff great”
very friendly and efficient staff. One of the best we have stayed at. We were at a wedding reception and stayed for 3 nights.Food was great including the wedding meal,1st class.Nice bars and outside sheltered areas. Also nice setting on the river. Near train station for easy trip to Dublin and on main route west for further touring.
“Surprising hotel for a sleepy town”
I was quite surprised when we arrived at the courtyard as leixlip is quite a small town and the hotel is surprisingly large. Staff very friendly and helpful, room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast good although disappointed with my roast dinner as the veggies were harder than aldente. Dublin only a 20-30 mins bus journey away. Excellent fully recommended.
“fine hotel in leixlip”
We had no problems with this hotel. The room was very big and clean too. The staff was super helpful and even gave us maps to different places in dublin. The only downside was that the restaurant was really expensive. and we had to take a bus about 30 minutes into the city center, but the bus system is quite good. Really I cant complain about this hotel at all.
“Wonderful stay while visiting Dublin”
We choose this hotel because of it's location near to Dublin. It turned out that the city of Leixlip was a joy to visit in itself. A great place to stay if you like to be close to the city but sleep in a quiet place. My only complaint is that it was hard to find since we had rented a car at the airport. We drove by it twice before we found it. The part of the hotel that is on Main street is very small, but it opens up to a large courtyard inside. The room was very nice with a great view of the river. The hotel is very modern since it was opened in 2005, but they preserved much of the old Guiness brewery walls.
“Lovely place to stay”
Lovely hotel situated on the banks of the river. Very friendly staff who can't do enough to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. Excellent food and there are some nice restaurants in the village if you want to eat out. Room spacious and clean. Only downside is that it is also a popular place for local functions which can mean that the carpark is full and you have to use public carparks in the village. This however is a price worth paying. We will definitely return.
“Friendly Service”
We were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Also, this is a beautiful hotel with elegant furnishings and pleasing disigns. The food was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The entertainmentwas awesome, and it was great to see the locals enjoying their hotel.
