“Awesome!”
Definitely going back! They even upgraded my room without me asking to a room with a balcony overlooking the water. The hotel restaurant was delicous and I am usually hesitant because it seems like most of the time the restaurant at the hotel is gross. And I was able to bring my dog!! Beautiful, cool decor and the people were super friendly too.
“to the lighthouse”
good rate for off season. room had very low lighting. nice view. comfortable bed. staff was pleasant. not far from lighthouse and from town center
“Very satisfied”
Our room was awesome with an amazing terrace and access to a small beach! Very cute swimming pool too. Def a great place to get away from the city and just relax and enjoy. We went off season, and the place was still great, without the crowds and we got an amazing deal.
“rooms with great views”
great location, beautiful views and very convenient to local restaurants and town. The best part is the location and views. restaurant and bar is a 3.0 however with high prices and average food.
“This place made our trip to Montauk amazing!”
The rooms are in good shape, nicely decorated, and spacious enough for four people without feeling cramped. Our room had a private deck with a view of the lighthouse replica and water. The bathroom is about half the size of the room, including a large bathtub with one of those curtain rods that curve out, and a walk-in closet. All hotel staff (i.e. front desk and housekeeping) were courteous and helpful. The only downside to our visit... our Barracuda Bar experience was awful. The woman working behind the bar did not acknowledge us when we walked in, when we sat at the bar, or when we tried to get her attention with a gentle wave. She definitely saw us, but apparently the conversation she was having with the other two patrons was much more important. Maybe they actually had a yacht. We were there for about 10 minutes before we migrated over to the restaurant. The Gulf Coast Kitchen was absolutely amazing. Although it isn't a cheap meal by any means, the value is definitely there. Portions were generous, and the quality was top notch. I highly recommend the mussels. Joe, our server, was absolutely amazing. This made the trip SO worth it. They have a private beach area, and a deck with fire pits you can hang around at night. Free shuttle service to take you into town or the train station. Free beach cruisers for you to use for the 3-mile bike ride into town -- they are first-come-first-serve, but we didn't have any problems since it was off season.
“great”
this is a very nice place located right on the water with great views.
“great”
It was a great 1 night get away for two exhausted people, thanks!
“Nice hotel, staff was very eager to help and make my stay comfortable.”
The staff was very friendly and anxious to help. When I arrived, they graciously upgraded me to a room facing the water at no extra cost. The room did not smell very fresh, yet it seemed to have been thoroughly cleaned. The restaurant was delicious and not terribly expensive. We ate the prix fixe dinner and it was 4 star restaurant quality. It was not near the center of town, but it was off season with no traffic and it took us five minutes to drive into town.
“Good off-season hotel”
Enjoyed our stay even though most establishments were closed during off-season. Those that were open were not crowded and the weather was warm enough for walking around and beach going.
“Not aging gracefully”
The potential is great, however, it is an aging facility and it shows. They do an admirable job to finesse the aging condition but ultimately it fails. We were abruptly woken up on Sunday to a deafening high pitched squeal that drove us out of bed only to find out it was aging pipes from the shower in another room, So much for an escape from manhattan !
