“old world charm, with modern sophistication.”
Staff very friendly and attentive. Has a feeling of a gentler age to it yet offers quality facilities of the 21st century
“Best hotel near the shrine”
Tis the perfect hotel for pilgrimages as for the cleanliness,comfort,price aand prosimity to the holy shrine. I will surely come back and recommend this hotel.
“Great Location and Value”
The hotel is conveniently located very close to the santuary entrance and made it very easy for us to rest in the room during the day in between processions, shopping and other activities.
“Great hotel in Lourdes.”
Typical of many European hotels, the Grand Hotel Gallia & londres room was on the small size. However, we expected that and it was more than acceptable. The bathroom was very large, spacious and clean. We had a balcony that was small but large enough to fit two chairs. Our room faced the park area so it was very quiet and we had a pleasing view. The staff was excellent (everyone we encountered spoke at least a little English). The lobby was spacious and exuded an old world charm. Easy check in and check out. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the bar was nice (spacious with great furniture) and not too expensive (there were very few people in the bar so it was very quiet). The hotel is very convenient to the Grotto (just a short block down the street) and on the main drag. You couldn't get a beter location. I can't vouch for a room overlooking the main street (there is a lot of activity going on 18+ hours a day so I suppose a room facing the street could be a bit noisy - also no balcony). I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean, the price (for us) was right and it was closer to all the activites than we imagined).
“Convenient For the Grotto in Lourdes”
Lourdes is a small town, and all places of interest are relatively close to each other. Walking is the most convenient way of getting around.
“Excellent location near the Grotto”
My husband and I flew from Paris to Lourdes to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversay. What an experience to see the Grotto. The hotel location to the grotto was walking distance. Near and conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room was small but very clean and with comfortable bed/clean warm beddings. Lourdes is a beautiful town with friendly people. The Grotto is a must see for all who wants to visit Lourdes. Can't wait to visit again with my children someday.

“Great location but a little dated”
Great location in a nice hotel in Lourdes. The rooms were okay. I had a sanctuary view -- but it was not a basilica view. The room was a little dated but comfortable. However the bathroom window had only sheers on it. So there was not a proper curtain -- so in the evening I had to bathe in the dark for fear of being seen by those out on the street.

“Very comfortable and convenient”
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was extremely convenient, very clean and tidy. The reception staff and housekeeping staff were very professional, helpful and friendly although I felt that breakfast service in the restaurant was not very well managed and the staff here were not very helpful as it was not very clear where to sit. On one occasion a staff member actually chastised me for sitting in the wrong place and asked me was I not supposed to be part of a group. This made me feel very uncomfortable as I was on my own and didn't want to stand out like a sore thumb. Overall I would not let the restaurant staff put me off as the friendliness of the other hotel staff was excellent.
