“fantastic”
fantastic hotel, cant fault it in anyway, Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good.
“luxury and comfort”
Initially I was disappointed not to be offered the four poster I had requested for my birthday treat. I had requested this through Expedia and had telephoned the hotel to request this special feature (this was confirmed by Dan at the hotel as being reserved for me). My husband and I were offered an upgrade to a room with a four poster, and we were very happy with our stay. The room was fabulous, very luxurious with a wonderful bathroom.
“expensive, but a class above other hotels”
Great venue, beautiful surroundings, classical decour, great food, very relaxing. Great for a romantic break if your wanting to impress someone special. No pool and minimal gym but this place is geared for chilling out and relaxing in oppulent surroundings so not that important. Is expensive but expedia did a great deal.
“OK......but”
Hotel was booked as nearest 5 star available (on dates required) to Glyndebourne. Stay was OK......but service at breakfast was poor. Had to ask 3 times for tea/coffee order and twice for toast, all of which arrived after we had eaten our cooked breakfast. Check out staff apologised and offered loaf of bread by way of recompense.....nice gesture but would have preferred sharper service at breakfast.
