“Most comfortable room in italy”
This was by far the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in Italy. The bed was amazing, it made it difficult to get out and enjoy the wonderful city! Clean rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast (great cappuccino). The city itself is tiny so you don't need much time there - but definitely walk to walls (only 2.5 miles) for a great activity. Then, just wandering the streets is nice as well. One problem - on Sunday and during hte afternoons (1-4) most things are closed...
“Lucca Gem”
Our family had a fantastic experience at the Palazzo Alexander Hotel! The staff, service and breakfast were exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable, multi-lingual and very warm and friendly. We look forward to visiting Lucca and staying at the Palazzo Alexander Hotel again.
“Amazing B&B”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Alexander. The staff is so helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast room is beautiful and the food is excellent. I look forward to visiting Lucca again and staying at the Palazzo Alexander.
“Small but convenient”
The Palazzo Alexander is well situated inside the walls of Lucca, so any site of interest is within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful and breakfast is very decent with a selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal and of course tea or cappuccino. I had a single room which was small but comfortable. I would describe the furnishings as having old-world charm (antique furniture etc.) but those expecting palatial exuberance will be disappointed. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are quite a few within a 10 minute walk. Overall I had a very pleasant stay.
“Lucca, italy”
Totally charming in the walled city with parking. Nice breakfast. The place to stay in Lucca.
“Great location”
Great position inside the city walls. Reception desk efficient and friendly. Car park close by and the gentleman on the desk drove round to the car park with us. Good breakfast. Recommended.
“Pricey”
Very hard to find but your directions helped. Parking included. Decent breakfast. Rooms older but large. Pricey!
“Very homely”
The hotel is in a quiet location within the city walls. The room was large and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
“Will stay there again”
The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the hotel quiet and well situated. The room was a bit small and for my height the bed a bit short, but these were minor issues and we would definitely stay there again.
“Great stay, great service”
Had a fantastic stay at this hotel in July. We had a great room on the top floor, period decor with painted ceiling. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Great location, can walk to the main centre in just a few minutes, bike rentals are nearby and definitely worth doing for a couple of hours. Three friends shared a room. Good size, although pull-out bed not too comfortable. Breakfast room was great. The night desk staff make the pastries at the hotel, so could smell fresh bread every morning through the hotel's window...lovely. Would definite stay here again if ever back in Lucca.
