“Estellencs in the Spring”
A really nice spot to stay in the Spring time. It was sunny and the hotel was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and facilities smart including sauna, steam room and indoor swimming pool (ideal in spring). It was especially handy to have internet access from the bedroom. The hotel food was not fantastic, more of buffet (slightly better than usual lower-end hotel buffet fair) and for the price you could do better visiting the two local restaurants. The two local restaurants and cafe's were relaxed with a mix of higher end food and more earthy local hams and cheeses for day-time snacks. There is not really a beach, however the 25minute walk to the sea is interesting but the rocky and difficult to navigate sea front needs some work to make it family friendly. Overall a great modern hotel with contemporary decor and nice staff. We would go back again if visiting Majorca.
“A really welcoming and lovely hotel”
We had an excellent short break at the Maristel. It's perfect for walkers as you can go on a variety of walks from the hotel; and if you're not into walking the hotel's pool and indoor spa facilities are lovely too. The best thing about the hotel was the welcome by the staff - they were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The village is quiet but picturesque, with great views of the sea and a few nice places to eat and drink. You can get by without a car as there is a reasonable bus service into Palma - about 1 hour 15mins, it is reliable and cheap. We are definitely planning to go back!
“Great value luxury”
We stayed at this hotel as part of our long distance walk from south to north. The staff were very friendly and helpful I.e made sure we got to the pool and extensive spa facilities as quickly as possible! Room was large and comfortable. I would recommend booking ahead if you want to eat but won't arrive till late. We didn't and I think missed out on some good food.
“Peaceful break”
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The bus from Palma takes an hour to get directly to Estellencs along a dramatic coastline. This small village has three or four places to eat and a couple of bars. It is quaint and quiet, a ten minute walk taking you down to a secluded pebbly beach and cove. The village is surrounded by farms and within reach of some lovely walks, for instance (4 hrs) up Mt. Galatzo whose peak gives a glorious long-distance view of the area. The hotel is lovely, with a small swimming pool, terrace area and solarium. Helpful, friendly staff and an 'eat all you can' buffet breakfast for 8 Euros. A real find, a lovely peaceful retreat!
“Great Quiet Escape”
Situated in a beautiful sleepy small hillside town with excellent views of both sea and mountains. Two good restaurants and two bars within 2 minutes walk of hotel in addition to hotels facilities.
“Hotel Marristel, Estellencs”
Staff very friendly and accommodating when we arrived quite late. Breakfasts very good. The only meal we ate. Location brilliant if walking or touring the Tramuntana mountains and Estellencs is very pretty with a number of very good restaurants and bars. Great spar with loads of different features including turkish baths, sauna, jacuzzi etc. Very warm indoor pool. It was too cold to try the terraced outdoor pool but that would be great in the summer with lovely views of the mountains and sea.
“A Spring break for walking and flower hunting”
We stayed at this hotel in February 2010 and liked it so much that we decided to return in April 2012. This time we had a room on the opposite side of the road to the main building with a beautiful view across the older parts of the village to the sea. Although a little busier than during our earlier stay, the hotel was still very peaceful and relaxing during our 6 night stay.
“Great hotel with pool”
We really enjoyed our stay here, There si a great little restaurant two minutes away from the hotel. The hotel itself is calm and quiet, located on a road, with very little traffic ( in April), and no traffic at night. The hotel has a steam room and sauna, heated indoor pool and a gorgeous view from a sun terrace outside. The room was cleaned regularly and there was a balcony. If you can get a good deal on this hotel then I thoroughly recommend it. PS, I just want to add that although parking wasn't an issue for us with our hire car- the island felt quiet in April,it could be an issue in the summer months, as the parking is limited outside the hotel.
“Great place to stay”
Quiet friendly hotel (not too big) in very quiet village.
“Ideal for ultimate relaxation”
Nice hotel in beautiful tranquel Spanish village. Suitable for singles and couples, not much for the kids. Car essential and an ideal place to explore the North West of this magnificent island whilst only being a 45 minute drive from Palma. If you love sun soaking and lounging then this is ideal and Estellencs has far better views than Deia. As well as the hotel, there are a couple of beautiful restaurants serving fine food and wines but don't expect anything to be open after midnight, even in high season. Fantasic hotel facilities especially the pools and spa area. Highly recommended but anything over 7 days would be too much in my opinion.
