“Fantastic stay!”
Really polite staff and very helpful. The sea view rooms were gorgeous. we enjoyed our stay. the hotel location is ideal for chilling in a nice secluded and calm beach. with plenty of dining and pebbling options close by.
“Clean and Convenient”
I stayed here for 3 nights. Great location - on the beach front, bus stop right outside (1.5 TL into Fethiye, about 10 mins, runs till 1am) and water taxi also (every 30 minutes to Fethiye, travel about 25 mins, 5 TL - beautiful way to travel). Beach itself is gravel, but doesn't get too hot and sunbeds/shade cheap to hire and most of the seafront restaurants will lend you a sunbed cushion for the day (if you eat there later, of course!). Calis is very touristed, and you might have a long stroll along the seafront to find an 'authentic' Turkish restaurant. Delta has an Italian restaurant, next door on one side is a Chinese restaurant and there were lots of full english breakfast types of places. On the other side was Harem restaurant - Turkish and mix. Still, of course it depends on what you want - and everywhere the service was great and restaurants spotless. In the evenings I travelled into Fetihye which again is bustling, but great restaurant choices and lovely food selection - try the fish market for a great value and entertainment. I booked a day trip to Kayakoy: very interesting (but not the gold centre and Turkish delight factory that we also had to stop at on the way). Like the other reviewer, I found the hotel walls a little thin, but even though the hotel is on the front, didn't find it too noisy from the promenade. If you're looking a for a clean, welcoming place on the front, I'd recommend it, but don't expect Calis to provide an authentic Turkish experience!
“Nice hotel”
The hotel is located at the seaside with access to the beach. Very close to shops, very nice long seaside walking path along with big choices of restaurants and cafes. The only dropback was that although the room was facing the sea, the noise from restaurants at night was too loud. During the summer, when air conditioning is on, that is probably ok, but for us (we have been here in October) , we needed to close the balcony door in order to sleep. Still the place is higly recommended by us.
“Nice modern hotel, in area full of Brits, but walls made of paper”
When we arrived we were impressed with the room. It is very modern with good aircon, a balcony, seperate lounge area and a really nice bathroom. The hotel has an Italian restaurant downstairs, which we ate at a couple of times and was pretty average, but a change from the Turkish food we had been eating for the last week. Breakfast had the usual Turkish stuff - cheese, meat, cucumber, tomato, boiled eggs, bread - as well as cereal and a choice of freshly made omeletes, fried eggs and beans on toast. We didn't realise how far out of Fethiye it would be. it is in an area that is very touristy called Celis Beach. Saying that though, we caught a bus to about 200 meters from the hotel the day we arrived, there was a boat that went back and forth to Fethiye at least every 30 mins from very close to the hotel and there is a Dolmus that goes from right outside the hotel to Fethiye and the Otogar (main bus station). It is right on the beach and they provide beach towels to take which was useful. The biggest negative has to be that the walls were so thin, I thought people were in our room and we could hear the restaurant noise and music as if it was right next door when we were on the second floor. Our room also filled up with cooking smells, which I'm guessing was because of a shared vent from the kitchen two floors down.
“Dont believe the photos!”
We booked the room, cause we thought we will get a room with sea view, as advertised. We even asked for it again to make sure. When arrived there, we got a room with a land view facing a pub with loud music every night! Besides, the breakfast is nothing to look forward to. For this price, we would expect more. The location is good for clubbing, but bad for doing tours.
