The room was not properly ventilated; it felt very stuffy and the central air was not working properly. Additionally, beds were very uncomfortable- very firm mattress and high firm pillows; bed sheets were also very rough and itchy.

Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good. Good location. Convenient parking (btw they charged 1100JY) Room condition is fine; the decor is a bit old. The bathtub in one of our room is leaking, but we did not tell then to fix though since it was late and we were tried.

Small room but very clean, spacious bath with good amenities. Conveniently located within 5 minutes walk from the station. Late checkin. Ideal for the man on the go who arrives with a last train, needs a place to sleep and leave super early.

Nice hotel but we had three people staying in one room and the third “bed” was literally a very hard sofa with some sheets thrown on top. Was quite uncomfortable. Other than that, nice hotel and good location.

Good business hotel for solo traveler. - 10 minutes walk from the Matsumoto Station and the hotel has a complementary shuttle bus. - The rooms are clean and not too congested. - The breakfast is nice.

Perfect hotel in Matsumoto.
Excellent in every way. I can’t say enough about the amazing service, perfect location, comfortable and spacious room. We were leaving for the Alpine Route trip before breakfast was served so the hotel prepared a boxed lunch. A beautiful hotel! Easy walking distance to the train and bus centers.

We loved the spacious room( for Japan), and the very helpful bell, Yuko, who helped us with the map and bus schedule, and many more things. We loved the free shuttle which took us when we were too tired to walk. The breakfast upstairs was fantastic. The front desk helped us book a room in Jamikochi, and helped with the bus schedule. Hotel Buena Vista was my favorite hotel on this trip so far.

Nice large hotel
Very nice and clean, large modern hotel. It kind of had a feel of a Hyatt or similar in Chicago or other large city. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size and clean. Location is good in the fact that it's close to the train station, though otherwise there's not a ton around there. It's very convenient that they have a free shuttle to the station, too.

a nice hotel in a lovely city
I had an enjoyable stay at Buena Vista Hotel! It situated a bit off the busy part of the train station but still in walking distance to all the interesting places. The executive room is a bit small but you might expect that as that is in Japan....the executive lounge gave me relax time towards the evening. Breakfast at the restaurant on the top floor offers fantastic views over the city at all angles. The staff are very friendly and helpful....one bonus is, although there is no onsen inside the hotels, it offers free onsen trip everyday to a premium onsen hotel situated up a bit on the mountain. We could use the public onsens which one of them is an outdoor onsen! I have enjoyed so much that I have even extended my stay for one more night. I highly recommend this hotel when you visit this lovely city of Matsumoto.

Comfortable and spacious room even for 3 people. Staff in front office and concierge are helpful. 10 mins walk from JR station but got shuttle service. Will definitely recommend for anyone visiting Matsumoto.

I wld like to give a credit to the ball-girl who worked at entrance on 3 feb morning shift. She is always with sweet and nice to the customers, and she helps to carry all the customers’ luggages by herself. I and my husband are appreciated to her kind and best services. We ll definitely stay at your hotel when we ll visit Tatsumoto again in the future. Pls keep it up. All the best to all your staffs.

Transport from station provided even though very much walkable. The buffet breakfast was one of the best in terms of choices and quality. Room was of a good size, including the bathroom. The Japanese restaurant is highly recommended for the freshness of the sushimi and price. Very difficult to fault the hotel. Very highly recommended!

The hotel was very clean, all the amenities were readily available and the wi-fi was quick. The check-in was quick and efficient as well. The surrounding area has some convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. The only issue with the hotel was that there was a lot of construction going around the hotel entrance which was an issue when trying to find the entrance to the hotel parking lot, but not really the hotel's fault.
