"I hadn’t been to Fiji for 24 years so wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but I’m so glad I chose Crusoe's Retreat. Incredibly beautiful location with wonderful staff. Loved my room with its amazing view. The resort is right next door to a village so you get to interact with everyone. Fiji can be as active or as relaxing you want it to be but everything at Crusoes forces you to slow down and relax. I loved every moment. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Make sure you take some cash though...

"Fantastic stay, a small very quiet resort with a very personal touch. Owner extremely helpful and always available. Staff are amazing with a very personal touch. Accommodation was a rustic cabin with an open air bathroom, which gave the stay a really rural feel. If you’re looking for a modern shiny ceramic and chrome type hotel then this wouldn’t be for you. "Have just got back from a short stay here with the family for two days. Whenever we visit Sigatoka we usually book a hotel however as there were a few of us, we decided on a villa style apartment. The villas themselves I would recommend for a short stay. They have everything you will need if wanting to cook , cooker microwave fridge and cooking pot pans and utensils. "Staff is great, but it seemed like they had not have enough resources. The bar ran out of glasses often so does towels for the pool. Hammocks were in worse condition. Food is boring and repetitive. We had to wait over an hour for check in as the room wasn't ready. Finally we got the room and when we entered the room, it was horribly hot that you can't even stay in for a minute. We were told to allow an hour to cold the room. We went out for the activity, returned after 5 hours only to found out...

"Gorgeous rooms - very roomy, clean, and the shower was divine (I'm talking hot and amazing pressure). Also really affordable considering what some of the other resorts in the area are charging. Super close to Sigatoka town as well - just a short bus ride away and the beach is literally down the road (great snorkelling when the tide is high). Staff were very kind. Might be best to chat to locals about what to see/do in the local area as they were more knowledgeable."
