“Quiet Getaway from city”
We are a family of 5 and loved this hotel. However, our initial reaction to the beach and location were a bit of a disappointment. You needed your own towels for the beach which is very small and rocky. Rocks made it hard to walk around and would be a bummer for small kids. My kids found the rocks and rocky shore fun to swim around and investigate. I was able to sit in my chair and read with nobody else around. Sun doesn't hit beach until noon, and kids enjoyed the pool early on. Pool was nice. At first I was disappointed the city was so far from the hotel. But in the end, I liked being out of Kalamata. At night Kalamata gets very active, and I was happy to have our quiet retreat to go back to after dinner. The breakfast was wonderful.
“Good location OUTSIDE Kalamata”
If you are on foot, this hotel will leave you stranded as there is not much around. If by car, it's a short ride to Kalamata shore. Setting is a series of bungalow style rooms, spread out in a quiet but well maintained garden / park like estate. Rooms are fuzz free, clean.
