“excellent”
The hotel was beautiful and its surroundings lots of night clubs and restaurants would definitely recommend.
“Second stay as good as the first”
This is the second time we stayed at the Geneve. The first was 17 years ago. It is a very old hotel in the Zona Rosa and although the neighborhood has changed for the worse, the hotel is as elegant as ever. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are large by new hotel standards, and the location is very convenient. We would stay there again.
“Great experience, beautiful hotel, good price”
This is hotel is one of the nicest I've stayed at anywhere, not just in Mexico. The staff is helpful and friendly, my room was immaculate and the hotel itself is almost a museum with all of its artifacts, books and beautiful interior architecture. Even though it was in Zona Rosa, my room was extremely quiet with a view of the sky to watch the storms roll in every night. I could walk to almost anywhere and could take a short walk up Genova to get to the Metro to get anywhere else. Wonderful place...will stay there again next time I'm in D.F.
“Geneve Was The Best”
My family stayed at the Hotel Geneve. It was great. The entire staff was wonderful. They helped with tours and cabs. The location is great, and you can walk to several must see things. It is a very safe location. The room was very nice and they also have a nice spa area. The resturant was very good and the price was fantastic!
“A wonderful hotel, conveniently located”
Service at the hotel is incredible, there are two restaurants on the site, it is close to subway, the Reforma and shopping. It's a great place to stay. They have recently remodeled to celebrate their 100th anniversary, the rooms have been redecorated and are very nice. They new lobby is beautiful.
“Can't wait to go back”
I rediscovered this historic hotel on the Expedia listings when planning to take my daughter to Mexico City. It was where we began our summer study, and I was glad to find it. It surpassed my expectations. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The concierge Ariel took better care of us than I would have thought possible. In deference to the Travel Warnings re: taxis, we had Ariel arrange taxis from the hotel, the tour van, and taxi pickup after the ballet, and to and from the Frida/Diego sights. When we returned from our outings, we were offered limonadas, or Cokes in the bar, etc. Interesting things were going on, e.g., a movie was being shot in the hotel, a conference of Koreans was beginning on one of the days, etc. As for eats, the cafe was dandy (on an internal patio with many plants and birds), as was the old Sanborn's in the lobby. As the hotel spans a full block, it was much like our old Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans (which just reopened). I felt very welcome and very much at home. I recommend it highly.
“Great location and service”
This is our second time staying here, and we will return. Apart from the fact that Mexico City is a wonderful place to visit, this hotel is very elegant with good service, nice rooms and reasonable costs. The hotel is in the Zona Rosa and is just around the corner from a metro station. Itis a 30 minute walk to the heart of Condessa (great restaurants and walking neighbourhood) and right by Roma. There is a very good workout room and you can run along Reforma, which is about 2 blocks away. the workout room didn't open until 9:00 on Saturday but the front desk opening it so I could use it.
“Very artistic in the center of the city. A classic hotel with 20's style.”
Very dignified hotel with classic hospitality from an age when staying in a hotel was glamorous. Artistically themed in 1920's style with floor to ceiling bookcases, a fireplace in the lobby, and easily within walking distance of many fine restaurants and bars. Located in the Zona Rosa district of Mexico City no more than 40 minutes from the airport.
“Good place”
The hotel was clean and well equipped. What we really enjoyed was that the room was very quiet - almost incredible for a city as big as Mexico City. The restaurant (a Sanburns) is OK for the price but not excellent.
“Great Zona Rosa Spot”
This hotel had everything I needed. I stayed there while taking a few personal days on a business trip. Two restaurants and a convenience store are located in the hotel, and it is walking distance from several attractions and the subway. In-room wireless internet is not in all the rooms, so if you need it ask at check-in (they were perfectly happy to change my room). The head bellhop was also very helpful in making tour arrangements for me.
