“Perfect hotel”
Great hotel in city center! Nice restaurants just around the corner. The best thing was that the the room had a kitchen, perfect to prepare breakfast! It was very clean and they were friendly. Good cocktails at hotel bar!
“Comfortable Beds, Very Friendly Service”
Easy to find, very friendly and helpful staff. The location is good, near McGill and a block from subway and bus stops. The room was clean and the two queen beds were VERY comfortable. Room service excellent. The kitchenette (stovetop, microwave, sink, refrigerator) was very useful, because we were traveling with our 2-year-old son. A bit of a walk to the grocery story (around 10 minutes). Could hear kid in room next door, and I bet they could hear our kid, but not so loud. Parking was complicated - no room in hotel's garage so had to park around block in neighboring hotel garage. Parking too expensive ($25/night).
“What a gem!”
Almost hidden from view - the better known 'name' hotels around have the larger, glitzier signs - Le Cantlie is a great find. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were impressed. The room ws more than ample with 2 queen beds, a desk, large bureau and - a surprise - behind louver doors was a kitchenette: microwave, refrigerator, sink, cabinets, utensils, settings...even dishwashing liquid in the cabinets! The restaurant, which we only had time to use in the morning, was delightful and tasty. We were in town for the Rotary International Convention, so this is not only a family-friendly location (an exercise room and pool we didn't have time to access which had great views of the city) but one centrally located for business (one block from Peel metro). Hope I get to stay again!
“Good value in Montreal”
The hotel is older but well maintained. The room was of a good size and well appointed. The amenities, such as the business center, are very good. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The location is very near to a lot of great restaurants and night life. It also is very near McGill and not a bad walk to the old city. At the price, we thought the hotel an excellent value.
“very good at accommodating late check-in”
this place was very good at accommodating late check-in
“Little Gem!”
Very fine & comfortable "old style" hotel in great part of Montreal. We parked the car and didn't use it once - we were able to walk and Metro around everything we wanted to see. Furniture was elegant but not over the top, room was cozy and had some smart things about it (eg. dimmer and quiet shower/toilet in bathrrom; small, functional, hidden kitchenette; quiet room heating system with adjutable thermostat). Good exercise room.
“Great place to stay!”
We weren't expecting much, considering the low price, but we were very surprised to find this hotel is very nice!! Underground valet parking and internet was available for an extra fee. The room was very large with a pillowtop bed and a mini kitchen. Those two things were the best part!
“Super suite”
I wouldn't call it a room it was more like a suite. Very comfortable, with the added benefit of a kitchen area. The bed was extremely cozy. All the staff in the hotel were very pleasant and most helpful when needed. Prime location, footsteps from all the fantastic shops and restaurants, with the metro just seconds away. Could maybe do with 'pay per view' or a DVD player in the rooms but other than that no complaints.
“excellent choice”
Hotel was in a great location -- easy to get to using public transit from the airport. Staff was very friendly and bilingual. The in-room kitchenette was convenient and the beds were comfortable.
“Impressive for the Money”
A nice place to stay with clean, neat rooms and a convenient small kitchenette. Many amenities and services available including a rooftop pool. This hotel is close to a subway station, and also within walking distance of almost all major tourist attractions. The only drawback of the hotel is the pricy parking, but this is still worth it, especially if you get a good deal on a room.
