“Walk to WVU, but check your CC for room charge already paid though Expedia.”

We stayed here for one night while on a visit to see our nephew at WVU. Location was great as we were able to walk to his dorm. We loved the old style feel of the hotel, but with modern conveniences. The 2 problems that we had were : 1.) No complimentary breakfast. We asked at the front desk, but they said they didn't offer one. Huh? 2.) They took our credit card at check in for damages and incidentals. Upon check out, they said nothing about charging us for our room, again, that we already paid for through Expedia. I ddn't see that until a few days later on my CC. They did credit my card back, but I always find this to be a major inconvenience when hotels do this.

“nicely updated vintage building”

located right in the middle of downtown Morgantown, good location for WVU events, although you'd have to drive to football games great old building with classic decor, but all the right updates to the rooms-new bathroom, nice beds and bedding, surprisingly large room WIFI was a bit slow, but it worked.

“Great hotel, close to WVU stadium, wonderful location for the weekend game!”

This hotel was wonderful, it was very clean and well taken care of! The location was very nice, close to all the nightlife and not far from the stadium.

“A Classic Hotel Updated”

This eight story hotel is about 90 years old, but maintains a charm and grace seldom experienced in a newer setting. Our room was at the end of the hall and was quiet- no noise at all, except for the large window AC/heating unit that ran constantly, either with the compressor on or off. Since I like white noise to help me sleep, the AC unit was not intrusive and actually provided a nice white background that enabled deep and restful slumber. The front desk staff was exceptional, and readily provided us with a toothbrush and toothpaste, since we had forgotten our own. The only minor annoyances included the fact that the hotel parking lot was about a block away, as well as a $1.50 daily charge for the room safe. Our room was very comfortable, very quiet, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We did not use the restaurant, but others have rated it highly. We would return again without hesitation.

“Very cute hotel”

I enjoyed the hotel very much! It was like a flashback to the past wth the interior design. Staff was very friendly. Good location, walking distance to downtown and a few minute drive from the university. I would definitly go back again.

“Beautifully restored historic hotel”

I can say enough good about the Hotel Morgan! It has been beautifully restored to what must have been it's former glory with lovely woodwork, window treatments, wallpaper and chandeliers. The rooms are large, clean and tasteful and the view (from a six floor corner room) is amazing. The front desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I felt like I was stepping back in time. The breakfast was just so-so. They do include yogurt and some fruit with the usual offering of donuts and other carbs. The internet didn't work in our room, and I heard other guests comment that theirs didn't either. However it works fine in the mezzanine and that's a perfectly comfortable (if dark) place to take care of internet activities. The business center seems to be well appointed with two computers, a copier, and sundries.

“Such a memorable stay!”

Awesome, the hotel was exquisite and charming. The decor was traditional for the time period built and made the accommodations more enjoyable. The front desk was polite and helpful, the 8th floor restaurant - amazing! The rooms were large, elegant and comfortable. Would visit West Virginia again just to say at this hotel. The town was exciting and charming and the views from the 8th floor restaurant breathtaking and the view from the 3rd floor balcony into the banquet hall magical! So enjoyed our trip!!!!!
