We were denied our one night stay and told that we could not stay in the same room - we are a racially mixed /not married couple. No where in their description of the hotel did they state “ no unmarried couples.” And they flatly refused to give us a reason we could not share the same room.
Instead, they claimed that they did not receive payment from Expedia even though the booking was confirmed by Expedia. I showed the manager of hotel my bank account showing the payment for the booking, along with the booking confirmation.
But still he claimed they did not receive the payment, nor did he make any attempt to contact Expedia stating it wasn’t his problem, nor could he do anything about it.
I have never had a problem with my previous Expedia booking confirmations in India.
