“Best hotel in Nagoya”
I stay in Nagoya several times a year and always at the Hilton. Expedia's rates are usually a lot lower than those on Hilton's website, and the hotel itself is great; good location, very professional staff, nice rooms, great views. Try to request a higher floor (or if you can afford it one of the executive rooms which are on floors 23-27) as the city views are fantastic, especially at night. They also have several buffets that change regularly, this time we had Thai buffet prepared by the chefs from the Hilton in Bangkok and it was extremely good. From Nagoya train station a taxi ride should be about $10, or you can take the subway.
“Excellent, clean, comfortable hotel”
Very clean, comfortable room and one I felt happy to return to after a day of walking and exploring. View from the room wasn't great due to the nature of the building (surrounded by similarly high buildings & hotels) Room and bathroom was cleaned every day and due to the nature of the Japanese, was often tidied and organised for us (our belongings being arranged into aligned groups/stacks etc) which, given the hotel and the country I didn't feel at all worried about. Room service was delicious and all staff were extremely happy and helpful. Everything was done for us and nothing appeared to be of any bother to them. Bathroom was excellent, with electronic toilet. Shower allowed for wall shower/bath or hand-held head unit and the water came through hot quickly with good power. Beds and chairs were firm and very comfortable. Room could've done with more power sockets, but that's a minor quibble given the overall quality.
“Great Location, Great Value”
The hotel is one block from a major subway stop which is only one stop from the Nagoya train station. Nagoya train station feeds both the Meitetsu line (runs direct to Nagoya Airport - NGO) and the JR line (operates the Shinkansen - bullet train). Extremely convenient and within walking distance to some of the best night life and shopping Nagoya has to offer. The hotel itself is extremely reasonable considering the quality of service you receive. The staff speaks impeccable English and goes well out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. Rooms are large compared to most Japanese business hotels and views from the top floors are amazing. Only downside is the breakfast buffet in the morning...Japanese, English, American style food is available and is excellent but the price is a little steep - $25/person. Well worth the price.
“Hilton Nagoya”
We stayed three nights and enjoyed the hotel. This hotel lives up to the Hilton name; good value, excellent location for Nagoya; near subways, lots of dining, Starbucks across the street, daily paper, etc.. Housekeepers are fantastic, never a problem and never a wait for any requests; extra towels, iron, etc.. will recommend and stay again on our next visit.
“Very nice hotel close to Nagoya Station”
Overall I was very impressed with the service. Treat yourself to the premium beef at this hotel, second only to my experience in Kobe.
“Very helpful and friendly staff”
Stayed for two weeks in Nagoya while on vacation in Japan. The Hotel Hilton was centrally located close to Nagoya Station and also just a 2 min walk from the Tsurumai line. There is easy access by express train to Nagoya station from Nagoya's Centrial airport and just a few minutes taxi ride from Nagoya station. They have a very nice and reasonably priced buffet. The food was excellent with a large selection to suit most tastes. Location to other places to eat and shop was very good. The room size was very nice and well cleaned each day.I stayed on the 20th floor so I had a wonderful view of Nagoya each day I had awoken.Staff at the front desk had fair knowledge of spoken English and were always very helpful. My only complaints are is that they charge for Internet access which I thought was a little pricey and should be complimentary and free access to the gym is not until after 9:00pm.But that is just the gym only.Otherwise you need to pay for a 24 hour period.I did use the gym once while I was there and they have some really nice equipment.Oh and parking is not free so expect some add on cost at check out time before considering overall expenses.
“Great hotel fantastic value for money”
We were impressed with the hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The Hotel lobby area is very inviting and staff were excellent. We spent one night at hotel after a long flight from england and we woke the next morning very refreshed and ready to explore japan
“No Problems”
Good hotel. Rooms big for Japan. Customer service was excellent.
“A Good Experience”
The hotel staff were exceedingly helpful. I have no complaints.
“Nothing was too much trouble”
I know the Japanese have impeccable manners, and are renowned for their courtesy, but the Hilton Nagoya set a new standard with these aspects. The hotel is immaculate, ideally located, and everyone treats you like a respected guest while you're there. Having travelled all over the world, and stayed at some fine (and some not-so-fine) establishments, I would rate the level of service here as the best I have seen, at all levels. My little girl (8 YO) is not a very finnicky eater, and prefers the bland-fast-food style of our take-aways, to trying anything adventurous. While we stayed at the hotel, they had a Thai cuisine week in the main restaurant, and the chef personally took her aside and introduced her to the many and varied tastes available to her, if she would care to try them. Just occasionally a stranger can have more of an impact on the habits of our kids, than we, as the most concerned parents can. After she tasted a small sample of all the various food on offer, she decided that she might now be a bit more open-minded with her palate in future, and fairly hoed in with gusto, on all that was on offer. Her Mum and I really appreciated that little extra coaxing from the restaurant staff that enabled our daughter to see what she had been missing. It was a turning point in her, and our lives. Enough said...Thank you Hilton, Nagoya... we had a very memorable stay.
