“Anniversary in Paradise”
We celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary with a two-weeks stay. The gracious, friendly staff and the setting -- the best beach on the island -- made for a delightful, relaxing break from the winter weather at home. We ate the majority of our meals -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- in the on-site restaurant. Michael, the Chef, offered a varied cuisine of delicious food, often with local fish, fruits and vegetables. Another plus of the Oualie Beach Resort is the Chill spa in which we received several massages that were as good as we've had anywhere. The General Manager, Faith, is a hands-on supervisor, always available and attentive to any special requests of her guests. For us, this was the perfect place to stay while enjoying the warmth of the people and the climate of Nevis.
“Incredible experience!”
Incredible experience! Staff and all residents of Nevis were friendly and always wanting to ensure we were enjoying our stay. They're right when they say 'you're only a stranger once in Nevis' - they make you feel like family. We had a King Premium room and it was very clean and comfortable. The view was wonderful and we were only steps to the beach. The food was the best we've ever had while on vacation in Caribbean. Compliments to the chef and staff! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks were delicious. Don't miss the Tuesday night BBQ with all-you-can-eat steak, ribs, chicken, fish, lobster, salads, veggies and key lime pie... so good! We took a tour of Nevis for $75 and the two of us spent 3 hours experiencing the island and it's charm. Don't miss visiting the plantations - Montpelier, Golden Rock and Hermitage. We returned to Golden Rock for a hike and lunch. The monkeys are plentiful and the landscaping is breath-taking. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful and well worth the cost of admission ($13, I think) Not the island to find snorkeling but if you're looking for peace and quiet, you'll find it at Oualie Beach Resort. We will absolutely return again.... hopefully not to far in the future.
“PERFECT PLACE TO SWIM AND RELAX!”
We had a wonderful time at this relaxing resort. Our room was steps to the ocean and the staff was genuinely nice. Our room was clean and it has a large balcony facing the beach. Perfect place to swim and relax.
“Great Value”
Big room, right on the beach. The decor and the plumbing could use an upgrade, but everything worked and the bed was very comfortable. Terrific location, friendly staff. No other hotel on Nevis except the (closed right now) 4 Seasons has a beachfront location even remotely like this.
“loved it!!”
The cottage was 20 feet from the ocean. Beautiful sunsets. We were greeted with a rum punch and led to our delightful room. Although not the most luxurious room, it was nicely decorated, had A/C, and enclosed veranda with a view of the ocean. The lulling sounds of the surf were delightful and mesmerizing. Fodd at the resort restaurant was very good, with a nice variety of choices. Hotel staff was very accommodating, although the wait staff at the restaurant seemed a bit disinterested, even by "island" time. The location is between the airpoart and Charlestown. When we come back in a few years, we'll definitely stay there again. This is a fabulous place to relax, play in the water, and really enjoy your down time.
“Wonderful!”
This was a very pleasant experience starting at the front desk. The staff was friendly and most helpful. Our room was comfortable & clean. The food was delicious. The beach was wonderful & the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous! We were impressed with our entire experience at Oaulie Beach. Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary EXTRA special!!
“Oualie Beach Resort”
Beautiful, peaceful site with an outstanding staff.
“Great low-key vacation”
We hadn't been on a vacation in just the 2 of us in years and it was an excellent time. Oualie Beach is lovely. It isn't a luxury place, but it's well kept and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. Also, it's a much more laid back experience than the Four Seasons which feels like a country club. Oualie Beach is real and if you want to get out and see the island it's a great jumping off point.
“Perfect spot on Nevis”
Lovely, perfect beach location, great restaurant, friendly people, incredibly reasonable price. The unrenovated rooms in the lowest category are pretty basic, though.
