“Great Views”
Rooms with balcony overlooking the Sea. Who could ask for anythign more ?
“nice for a short stay”
hotel was clean and friendly but don't be fooled into thinking you can grab a towel and head to the beach, the beach you can see from most pictures is not a bathing beach however the pool is lovely .
“Lovely stay”
I think that this hotel is misrepresented by previous reviews, it was clean and comfortable and for the amount we paid it exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and spoke good english. The breakfast was delicious and the complimentary shuttle bus was very helpful. There may not be a beach right on the doorstep but Palermo is a port town so the beach of Mondello (20 mins bus ride away) is a much better bet.

“Mould in the bathrooms”
looked like it was starting to mutate into a life of it's own. Downstairs was very nice, with good pool area, but 70's rooms need updating
“Budget Hotel Meets Most Basic Requirements”
The Jolly Hotel has been mostly renovated, but our room was in a still-to-be-redone part, and was petty awful - small dirty bath, old bed with smelly blankets, no room service. Would have been worth one-half of what we paid.
“Not Impressed”
Reception staff were unfreindly, impolite,and unhelpful from check-in until the end of our stay. Staff did not share any local knowledge. When we requested local information about beaches, attractions and transport links they advised us to walk to the train station, 20 mins walk away, for tourist information. The staff were particularly unfreindly towards the children watching them suspiciously and making them feel unwelcome. We complained to the hotel manager when we were checking out and she excused their behaviour saying the hotel had recently been taken over by a Spanish company and there was lots of temporary staff and lack of team spirit and committment to customer service. The children were not allowed to play in the pool, the hotel is 100 metres from the sea but not a beach, just the port entrance. This hotel was misrepresented to us and entirly unsuitable for children.
