“Perfect crash pad for Paris vacation”
I burst out laughing when I entered the room after check-in. It was very small, there were no drawers anywhere, and the closet was triangular and so small that I could only hang three or four items. But if you're a budget traveler who doesn't mind a no-frills crash pad, this place is absolutely perfect. The hotel itself was plush and sparkling clean, the staff very friendly, the bed perfectly adequate, and the bathroom was modern and clean. Free Wi-Fi. Just be aware that the rooms are tiny. But if you're spending most of your time sightseeing or sleeping, who cares? And the best part was the neighborhood. A Metro stop was only steps away, and a McDonald's close by for budget breakfasts (yogurt, juice and cappuccino for a few euros). Supermarket just around the corner (Shopi) if you wanted low-cost snacks. And a great place called Roy's Cafe across the street with free Wi-Fi so you can drag your laptop over and read e-mail while sipping coffee. Lots of other restaurants as well. Total cost to me was less than half of what I would have spent at other hotels, and this place is in a really charming part of Paris. If you want no-frills, you can't beat this place. I would definitely stay here again.
“lovely little secret”
A little jewel of a hotel in a lovely semi-residential neighborhood, half a block from a Metro station. Several restaurants, stores, and a park are all within a block or so; roughly 20-30 minutes by bus from the city center. I had a stylish, modern and generously-sized (for Europe, where all the rooms are small) single en-suite room opening on a tiny central courtyard full of plants. The lobby is currently being remodeled but didn't interfere with my stay. The staff was very pleasant, welcoming and courteous. Breakfast is an additional charge and is a little pricey for pastries, coffee and yogurt. Overall an EXCEPTIONAL value - if I ever get back to Paris I don't want to stay anywhere else!
“Would stay there again”
I really enjoyed my stay here. There are a few minor things to know before staying here - the room and bathroom are very small.. but the overall cleanliness and comfort was wonderful. The location was great - just a few minutes from the Arc, and the train/bus was close by. There are also restaurants, cafes and bars close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a small budget. You get what you pay for.
“Caring staff and a good deal for an expensive city, close to transit and other amenities”
My experience with the staff was better than the actual comfort of the room, but I was quite ill when I arrived in Paris so I may have felt more uncomfortable with the room than I normally would. The staff member working the night shift was very kind, rang for a doctor who came to my room (but it was 110 euros) and brought me a few comfort measures and tea since I was so unwell. The day staff were also really nice and helpful. I stayed in a room for one person on the main floor. The hotel its self is close to the metro, a bus station, internet cafe, bank, pharmacy and restaurants etc.. its on a little street so I had a little trouble at first finding it. The hotel offers wifi but no computer is available for use if you don't have your own, continental breakfast is available, there is no kettle in the room, but there is a phone, tv, and seperate washroom within the room. things I didn't like about the hotel/room was that the room felt damp, and faced into an outdoor courtyard where people would smoke and it would drift through into my room, the bed was also uncomfortable and so was the one square pillow. I think it is otherwise a good place to stay it was quiet and I felt safe. I did think it was a little weird you have to hand in your key before you go out for the day... but overall I would definitely stay here again and the staff were really caring.
“Receptionist with a dog!!! very Oddd!!!!!”
Good location and most of the staff was good except one man on one of the shifts who had a dog which proved to be a bit of nuisance.
