“Exceptional Hotel”
The staff was exceptionally professional, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to assist us with small things. The room was very clean and pleasant and had a balcony overlooking the street. The hotel is perfectly located. I would recommend this to anyone.
“Hotel Paris Lumen is lovely”
Wonderful location. Small (to be expected) and clean room. Nice bathroom with towel warmer. Very comfy bed. Flat TV with multiple language channels available. In room WiFi. Large elevator. Very nice and helpful staff. Overall great!
“well appointed and comfortable stay”
Found the staff very helpful. they all seemed to speak english well. the only exception to this were the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant, between us we knew enough to get by. The hotel is very central close to quite a few galleries. we did walk to the eifel tower but it is a bit of a stretch. lots of little cafes, restaurants and a generally nice atmosphere to the whole place.
“Great spot near the Louvre”
My wife and I had a great stay at Lumen. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable though small by US standards. But, hey, when in Paris.... The surrounding area was very good - wonderful little bakeries, convenience stores, shopping, restaurants, the metro, and a Tourism office all within 100 yards. The Louvre is only 3 blocks away. We'd certainly return.
“Friendly Staff”
Friendly staff, nice clean room and minutes away from the Louvre. Recommended. But do not try walking from the Gare du nord, its further than it looks!
“Would definitely return.”
The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. would definitley stay here again. No hesitation in recommending this to anybody else.
“Nice Boutique Hotel”
If you want a large, upscale American hotel, this is not the place to stay. However, if you are looking for a smaller, quaint, modern decor boutique hotel, Lumen is a great choice. The location was wonderful (within walking distance to Louvre, Paris Opera House, Place de Concorde, Tulleries Garden, multiple metro stations, several cute cafes, and even Champs Elysee if you feel like getting some exercise). We really enjoyed the area we were in and had a great time wandering around the surrounding streets to get a feel for the city. The concierge and staff were very friendly and helpful and offered tour suggestions, etc. The only thing I would warn you about is that upon checking in we were under the impression that their continental breakfast every morning was free. We found that when we checked out, we were actually charged 20 euros a person for it. All in all Hotel Lumen was a great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris.
“First class location”
A modern and comfortable hotel with all amenities. Superb location close to the Louvre and within walking distance to most major sights. The receptionist had good local knowledge and recommended good restaurants to eat in.
“Fantastic location”
This is a recently refurbished hotel and was a very pleasant surprise. Decor is very sophisticated and the rooms are very nicely finished with modern bathrooms and luxurious towels, gowns and toiletries. Reception staff speak good English and are very helpful. There is a new restaurant attached to the hotel which we didn't try but the menu looked really good (Italian cuisine). Breakfast was included and that was more than adequate. The best thing about this hotel is the location and is within walking distance of the Tuilleries Gardens, the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay.
“Hotel Lumen Was Great!”
We just spent 10 days at the Hotel Lumen. The staff was wonderful, the room comfortable - 5th floor, lots of light, good bedding, great bathroom. Breakfast each morning was served in a beautiful setting and the quality and variety was very good. The location of the hotel was also excellent. One half block to Faubourg St. Honore, one and a half blocks to the Louvre and the Opera Garnier. I particularly enjoyed the sound of church bells from St. Roch next door. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers and would stay here again. Staff were extremely helpful and thoughtful.
