“A Pleasant Surprise”
We stayed here 9/26/08 to 9/30/08 for a quick trip to Paris for a friend's anniversary. I had really low expectations - cheapest hotel in the 10th Arr. and right in front of Gare de L'Est. Very clean (and my wife is a clean freak) Very friendly. Great location close to Gare de L'Est Metro. Nice neighborhood. Highly recommend for budget travel.
“Very convenient hotel”
I stayed at the hotel for three nights in March 2010. I found it warm, comfortable and very well placed for the Gare de l'Est metro station. I hadn't realised that there was a flight of steps to be climbedfrom the street to arrive at the level of the hotel and, suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, I found it difficult to haul my case up the stairs. However there is a lift to all the floors from then on. The management quickly put right a small fault in the bathroom. The breakfast was pleasant, though the room is a bit small if a lot of guests arrive for breakfast at once. I enjoyed my time there and enjoyed the views down towards the Gare del'Est and Boulevard de Stasbourg. There are lots of reasonable restaurants nearby.
“Excellent small hotel”
If like me all you are looking for is a hotel that is (a) within 10 minuntes walking distance of the Eurostar terminal at Gard Du Nord (b) is very clean (c) is reasonably priced and includes an eat as much as you like continental breakfast with unlimited coffee (d) has friendly and helpful staff on reception 24 hours a day who speak good English (e) is safe and secure (f) is within 45 minutes walking distance of the Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame, Moulon Rouge, Sacre Coure, the Louvre and also the nearest city tour bus pick up points (g) and has a Metro subway station across the road. (h) and has a couple of nice bars/restaurants just outside the entrance (i) and has a small corner shop open until midnight close by that sells wine and beer as well. Then this is just the Hotel you are looking for. Need I say more ? - I will definitely use this Hotel again next time I visit Paris for a couple of days.
“Would definately stay there again”
The hotel was brilliant. Could not have asked for a better location in terms of accessibility to attractions and for travel to airports. Opposite a metro station so very eay to get around, walking distance from the Gare du nord where we caught RER train to and from the airport. Very close to the Sacre Couer. Hotel lovely, staff friendly, spoke lots of languages, hotel very clean and modern looking, bed and room very comfortable. Breakfast fantastic lots of food to choose from and you can have as much as you want. Very good value hotel for the price was more like a 3- 4 star hotel. There were quite a few restaurants just outside the hotel. The only thing against the hotel is I wouldn't want to walk around the surrounding area of the hotel on my own at night as a 21 year old female!- it is a bit run down in places. With a partner or a group of friends though I wouldn't feel in any danger as long as didn't go too far... to be honest though a lot of areas we saw in Paris were like this and you can't expect to be in a really posh area for the money- we had no trouble and I would definately stay at this hotel again.
“Nice budget hotel”
The hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked great! Main thing which was important to me was that it was right down the street from the train station (a 5-minute walk, if that long). Only problem, which wasn't a big deal to me, was that the stoppers in the sink and tub did not work. I go to Paris every year and I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again.
“Would love to go back at anytime.”
We were very happy with the hotel itself, while the room was on the small side it was very comfortable, clean and modern.Well maintained every day, room cleaning staff were friendly even with the language barrier. The location was great, close to the metro, buses and walking distance to all the sights of Paris. We would highly recommend this hotel.
“Enjoyed my time here”
This is a little hotel with friendly service. Breakfast is included in the price and you can eat all you want. The hotel is close to Gare de l'Est and the métro. Lots of eating places abound. Famous buildings and sites are within walking distance if you enjoy walking and it is easy to take the métro. I enjoyed my time here.
“It was good neat but quite in a noisy neighbourhood being in the centre of Paris”
A really good budget hotel
“Better than the star rating implies”
The Hotel is right outside the Gare De L'Est about 300 metres away, perfect location. It is in between two small cafe / restaurants. The Hotel was clean and the room was more than adequate, we had a room that overlooked the main street and it was still very quiet, the beds were very comfortable the staff were very helpful, the restaurant that they recommended (Terminus Nord) was excellent. Breakfast was good everything was very fresh and tasty.
“Recommended”
Lovely hotel in a great location! Definately recommended!
