“Nice Hotel”
Very clean and comfortable
“NICE PLACE TO VISIT”
HOTEL WAS NICE. STAYED THERE BEFORE. CABIN ROOM WAS SMALL. KINDA DRAFTY. ROOM OVER LOOKED STREET INSTEAD OF RIVER. ALITTLE NOISY, BUT WAS COMFORTABLE
“Historic Hotel”
I was on a cross-country drive with my 2 and 4 yr olds. The Lafayette was our first hotel stay on the trip and I was really excited to stay there. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very small, but beautiful. The tub was deep and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The area around the hotel was lovely and fun! We had a great stay. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something out of the ordinary and fun!
“Great surprise”
Very enjoyable. We will go back again. Staff was very curtious. Renovation work was being done which will make it even better.
“historic hotel”
The Lafayette is an historic building in an historic town. One cannot expect the rooms to be huge. however, service was exceptional, rooms are beautiful with antiques, very clean and neat. Cant wait to stay there again.
“Historic but not comfortable”
Very nice exterior and interior for this historic hotel. However, room was very small, not well insulated and an extremely uncomfortable bed and linens. Very noisy as in being able to hear those immediately above our floor. Very nice lounge and bar area.
“Could have been more comfortable”
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The mattresses on the twin beds were not great; my friend woke up with a backache. The pillows (one each) were tiny and not comfortable. We only had breakfast there, and it was good. The location next to the river was great! We might come again, and bring our own pillows.
“Pleasing”
It was nice to stay a few nights in a non-chain hotel
