Located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, Portofino Island Resort & Spa is less than six miles from Gulf Breeze Shopping Center, and within nine miles of both Pensacola Exchange Park and Blue Angels Classic Foundation Golf Course.
The smoke-free resort offers seven pools and an outdoor sundeck. A 40,000-square-foot Lifestyle center houses a full-service spa and fitness center. Classes, a juice bar, and personal training services are available at the fitness center. The spa offers massage therapy, facials, manicures, pedicures, and salon services; dry saunas, steam rooms, and a spa tub are also available.
A poolside bar and grill and two restaurants are also on site. A private tram shuttles guests around the resort (seasonal).
Rooms
Portofino Island Resort & Spa offers two- and three-bedroom condos with Gulf-view balconies. All have kitchens with dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, and coffeemakers. Complimentary high-speed Internet access and cable TV with DVD players are provided. Additional amenities include washers and dryers, and jetted tubs.
All accommodations are nonsmoking.

Terracotta Dining Room - Overlooks pool deck and the Gulf of Mexico. Offers fresh local seafood, steak, and continental specialties.
Cobalt Bar & Grill - Poolside. Features live music. Drinks include a signature Blue Martini. Serves sandwiches and salads.
The Terrace - Overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and two tiered swimming pools. Offers salads and sandwiches for lunch, and a full dinner menu.
Recreation
The resort has lighted Rubico Hydra tennis courts, bicycle rentals, and nature trails.

“A perfect Getaway”
Portofino offers all the comforts of home and then some!! this place is FANTASTIC!!! i will be going back year after year!!

I was blown away by this place. Rooms were spectacular, people couldn't have been nicer. The beaches were incredible. You'll have to visit the spa yourself, because I can't describe how great it was. I was looking for a place to get away for a few days and relax, and this place fit the bill. My kids said it was the nicest resort we've ever visited, and I have to agree. Jamaica and the Dominican Republic can't touch this.
“Great First Condo Trip”
We enjoyed having a condo setting and sharing it with another couple. Great setting, comfortable rooms, and great view.
“Almost All-Inclusive”
What a hidden treasure. This is truly a resort. The quiet end of Pensacola on the beach. The room was more like an up line 2-bedroom apartment. Comfortable bedding, great kitchen and living areas. The view of the Beach and sunrise were spectacular. We had a problem with the master shower...fixed that day. Included gulf charter does not include tip. Stay again? You bet!
“Best kept secret on the Gulf!”
Portofino is the ultimate. The staff was great. The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were spacious with wonderful views. Amenities galore. The weather wasn't the best during the first week of March but we still got in a couple of nice days (70 - 72 degrees) on the beautiful white sand beach. My kids (4 and 5) loved it...Plenty of things for them to do. The huge indoor pool took the edge off during the few rainy days. The catamaran leaves Portofino and goes to the boardwalk in Pensacola Beach on scheduled runs during the day (about a 10 minute boat trip). Lots of shopping and great places to eat. Just a few groups of spring breakers staying at Portofino which was nice. Most of the crazies go east to Panama City. Portofino provided a great family atmosphere. We plan on going back early summer.
“Relaxing with Gorgeous Views”
Very impressed with this resort. Staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. Grounds were well maintained with water taxi to local shopping and dining plus a tram to deliver you to all areas of the resort. A pool was adjacent to each tower, tennis courts with pro available for clinics and private lessons, full service day spa, fitness room, and a nice restaurant with an outdoor deck. The suites are well kept, roomy and have wonderfully cozy furnishings with complete kitchens. The views out every window are just absolutely gorgeous and the beautiful Gulf Beaches are right across the street. Had a great time!
“Absolutely gorgeous hotel---on the best beach!”
Our two bedroom gulf-view condo looked like a model home (complete with furnished balcony with built-in barbecue). Staying at the Portifino was like being a guest in someone's luxury condo, yet with all the services of a five star hotel! Fabulous spa and fitness center and a beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would return in a heartbeat!
“Pensacola's Finest”
Although our stay at the Portofino was only a two-night stay, it was fabulous!!!! The room was like a well decorated condominium with a view of the gulf to die for!!! The Portofino Staff were very friendly and I especially liked that. We cannot wait to get back to the Portofino for an extended stay to enjoy more of the ameneties!!! Stanley and Tina

What a wonderful time! The room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The sunsets were breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel.

My entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The amenities were wonderful; the location was fabulous! We even discussed planning another trip (through Expedia, of course) to this hotel!
