the restaurant has restricted opening times outside of these coffee/beer etc not available and in any case staff said to buy a coffee/beer food must also be bought. Bar shut at 10pm

“Hotel Campanile, Peronne, Somme, France”

This is a very handy and economical hotel and Peronne a lovely town and a centre for the Somme Valley and battlefields. We were a group of relatives and had four rooms. One had been smoked in, in another both the heating and toilet did not function (staff had no probem exchanging room) and in mine the cistern ran constantly unless I raised the panel above it and gave the siphon some help. Not everyone is so DIY wise as I am. So, although it was overall very good, the maintenance of the rooms left much to be desired.

Shower holder broken. No plug for sink. new tv, but old tv holder still attatched to ceiling in the room. no enough milk with coffee/tea. no hairdryer available( this is bad considering todays standards expected) had another guest banging on dooors looking for a hairdryer! set dinner excellent, breakfast at 9euro seems very expensive. Dining room very nice. You get what you pay for re the room rate.Last Campanile we stayed at better than this one .

Terrible restaurant. Bad everything. Last time hotel maintenance was done must have been 2001.
