“Forest Grove Treasure”

This was an incredible find!!!! on the way to Tillamook. This will become a regular stop for me. Comfortable bed, GREAT breakfast, nice staff.

“Great for the cost”

This is a perfect place in a perfect city location for a very low cost. We didn't need any "specials", just clean and comfortable. That was what we received. Nice to have the small fridge and microwave; coffee.

“When visiting Pacific University”

It strikes me as odd that a private university doesn't have better, closer accommodations than what Pacific U offers. My last visit was at a much closer hotel (2 blocks away) but was possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at (and I've spent 15 years traveling). America's Best Value is a much longer walk to Pacific (6-7 blocks) so the sense of immediate access to the University is gone, and in today's society, most people would probably not even consider it "walking distance." But the hotel itself was very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I would stay here again.

I was in Forest Grove for a weekend workshop, this was my first time at the Best Value Inn. It'll be my hotel of choice the next time I'm in Forest Grove.

“A budget motel with great service”

The service was great, but the motel is a little run down. If you are looking for something newer with lots of amenties, this isn't your type. If you are looking for a lower priced motel with all the necessities, you should be happy here. By the way, don't expect a big spread for the continential breakfast, you'll be very disappointed.

“Better than expected!”

Some of the other reviews made me almost pass this hotel by. But I made the reservation and was very pleased. The manager switched us ahead of time to a non-smoking room since we have kids and Expedia doesn't guarantee one. I smelled a faint hint of smoke in the hallway but our room was fresh and clean and I was pleased. The pool was nice for the kids and the continental breakfast was adequate. Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

“it's an adequate place to stay”

it was a place to stay for a night, rooms are outdated and my room at top of stairs was noisy since door didn't make a seal (daylight could be seen all the way around). Breakfast was out of milk and juice by 7am and they don't re-stock. stay here if you can't get a room across the street at the best western....MUCH nicer all around

“So-so”

The staff was friendly, and efficient. The hallway into which I entered to access my room had a distinct aroma, which I at first thought was bleed-over from the owner's kitchen (East Indian), but when my daughter came to see me, she said the staff needs to use deoderant when they go thru the halls. There were 2 remotes on the TV, neither one of which worked. But, the room was clean, the housekeepers did a good job of making it up, and it was a nice place to stay. It was especially convenient for me visiting my daughter at Pacific University.
