“amazing breakfast”
While I was more than satisfied with the entire hotel experience, I was amazed at the morning breakfast. There was more of a selection and variety of foods than I've seen anywhere else, and the food was excellent.
“Will go back and recommend”
The staff are super nice. The location is very convenient. Minutes to the restaurants at waterfront. The street car is right in front of the hotel. This was actually the first time ever we used public transportation on a vacation. Not to mention the breakfast. You can basically make it a brunch.
“How do they do it!”
Complimentary full breakfast - juice, bagels, pastries,fresh fruit, cereals, tea, coffee, eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, yoghurt, muffins, bread and spreads. Wine and cheese evenings and barbeque all free! Plus a great suite with huge bed.
“Spacious Room”
Everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff was AWESOME, the breakfast was very good, we loved the Waffle Maker. We would definately stay here again.

great hotel - cheaper than other Portland options, with lots of extras! pool, free gourmet breakfast, steps from free trolley to downtown, at end of river walk. stayed there with young son, so the seperate room for sleeping was nice.
“Great service, convenient & friendly staff”
We made last minutes plans to go to Portland & because we made a bad hotel choice on our last trip we were uncertain where to stay. After researching for a few hrs we went to Expedia's site and chose the Residence Inn - Riverplace. The price was great the location would be quite and transportation was close for all we needed. The hotel shuttle will drop & pick you up when prearranged at no added cost (we tipped). The staff was wonderful the service was exceptional & we plan on making this our place of preference on future returns.
“Spacious/Convenient/Hot Breakfast”
Being located on the last stop of "Fareless Square," it was very convenient and easy to catch the Streetcar just a short walk outside the front door. Walking along the Riverwalk was also a good option on a nice day. Downtown was close and obtainable via the free public transportation. The room was very spacious. Our view was the parking lot and highway, but it really didn't bother us. Although we didn't use the kitchen much, it was nice that it was there if we wanted it. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the complimentary breakfast, serving not only pastries and donuts, but also eggs, sausage, and waffles (among other things), too. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable about the city and the surrounding area. After we checked out at noon, our luggage was held for us till we went to the airport at 6pm.

This place has it all!! We really enjoyed ourselves. It is convenient to everything!!
“Great Breakfast & Location!”
This hotel has a fantastic location (right next to a streetcar stop!), excellent breakfast every morning, and to our surprise, extremely quiet room given the proximity to the freeway. Very good double-pane windows and great HVAC system kept us comfortable. We slept better there than at our own home! The pillows were great as well. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip to Portland.
