“Nice Hotel”

La Vista Azul is a very nice, new hotel in Turtle Cove. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Grace Bay area, where the bigger hotels and restaurants are. The grounds of the hotels are well kept. There are two pools with very cold water. We were told that the pools are not heated and the water temperature is usually higher in the spring time when the sun is in such angle that it could heat up the water in the pool. Maid service is between 10AM and 5PM. There is a little store in the hotel. The prices might look hight at the first sight but if you go to the IGA Supermarket you will find the same prices. The Shark Bite restaurant is very close to the hotel. It is a fun restaurant with a view of the marina, the food and the service is very good. You should rent a car if you stay at this hotel. There is taxi service on the island but it could get expansive. Also there is a lot to see on the island, there are many beautiful secluded beaches. There were times when we were the only people on the beach.

“Mini vacation”

A very nice hotel, fairly close to the beach, impeccably clean and with friendly and helpful staff. The only negative was the presence of blood-thirsty mosquitoes, even with air conditioning.

“Vista Azul”

The name says it all! The view from this resort is AMAZING!!!!! I could sit on the balcony looking out for hours. The rooms are large, clean, well kept & comfortable.The property is imaculate. Location is great. Short walk to beautiful beach where you could do some great snorkleing or just relax on the white sand & crystal waters. The Turtle Cove marina is a really nice place to take a walk or have a good meal or just watch Sea turtles pop there heads out of the water. :) Hotel is a short cab ride from the airport & gorgeous Grace Bay. We will definately return!

“Exceeded our expectations”

The hotel was very clean. Our room (ocean view studio) had washer, drier, kitchen with appliances and utensils (basic). The room was facing the pool area, so it was not very private, but it was OK with us. The ground level has direct access to the pool, we were on the first floor. The ocean view was worth the extra cost. The staff was very friendly. The manager greeted us and showed us around on arrival. They also provided beach towels (they were in the room), chairs and umbrellas. The chairs and umbrellas had to be picked up/dropped off at the reception every day. They also provide a cell phone ($10 calling credit) and a USB Internet dongle for wireless internet access. Location: there are some dining options around the hotel. The beach is ~5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel being situated in the central part of the island, with a car we had quick access to all other parts of the island (lots of beaches to see, not just Grace Bay). It is a 7 minute drive to the central Grace Bay beach/shopping area. There is a supermarket (IGA) 5 minutes away by car. We did most of our shopping there. The area was safe (the whole island for that matter).

“Great alternative to Grace Bay locations.”

I frequently go to Haiti and typically have to spend a night/day in T&C on the way down, and sometimes on the way back. In the past, I have stayed in Grace Bay, which is quite nice. However, I just came back from a trip and stayed at La Vista Azul Resort. The accommodations were excellent. I really liked having use of a full kitchen. Turtle Cove is a bit closer to the airport than Grace Bay. In addition, the area has a more relaxed, authentic feel to it. The nearby beaches are pristine and are part of a national park, so they are not built up with condos and resorts. This is not for everyone, but I found it to be very relaxing.

“Best vacation”

It was a very nice experience. The manager and all the people on the property were very nice. My only complaint is regarding the cleaning ladies. They were extremely noisy in the morning, disregarding the fact that people may be sleeping. They seem to be arguing very loudly and slamming doors constantly. The property is very beautiful and clean. It has spectacular views and the rooms are very comfortable. I would definitely go back.

“Perfect Vacation!!!”

The whole vacation was perfect, the hotel, beach, food...no complaints. Mango Reef and coco bistro were our favoritre places to eat.
