Sand-colored, with pink accents and tile roofs, this 390-room hotel's casual, relaxed atmosphere is evident as guests step into the four-story atrium lobby with its ceiling of rough poles.
Included among the Canto Del Sol's facilities and services are a steam room and a variety of spa services including Mexican massage, Swiss massage, reflexology, body scrubs, and aromatherapy.
The on-site travel desk can book excursions around Banderas Bay and can arrange discounts on local tours.
Meeting space can accommodate up to 470 people (theater-style), 220 people (school-style), and 330 people for banquets. Audiovisual equipment is available on request (surcharge).
Like all major Puerto Vallarta hotels, the resort purifies its water.

This All-Inclusive hotel offers 270 rooms and 120 suites. All accommodations have views of the pool and/or gardens.
All guestrooms are air-conditioned and sport a Mexican ambience, with tile floor, white walls and ceilings, and headboards sculpted into the walls. One king or two double beds, and a table and two chairs are provided. Complimentary wireless Internet access, flat-screen TV with cable channels, phones, and in-room safes are also included.
Recessed, mirrored vanities are outside the bathrooms, which all include showers, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. Irons and ironing boards are available.

Recreation

Days are filled with staff-led activities including: stretching sessions, beach walks, and games and contests such as bingo. Board games are also available. Guests can try out windsurfing, kayaking, and boogie boarding, plus play team sports such as water volleyball. With four clay courts and four cement courts, tennis is a popular option at this resort and for those keeping up a workout routine, the on-site fitness center provides free weights and cardio equipment.
Golf enthusiasts can head to Marina Vallarta Golf Club, a 15-minute drive from the hotel.

“A great hotel with very attentive management.”
We totally enjoyed our stay. The staff is exceptional, the programs are excellent, as is the location. It's one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in for the price.
“follow rules”
The only negative was there was a huge group of friends that took up a great portion of the bar/ poolside area....we were there for 10 days and they had that spot everyday....even tho there are signs that said no reserving...also was posted no glass or bottles...and that same group had bottles...even breaking a large bottle on the pool deck.
“Canto del Sol - a Great Family Choice!”
We travel to Puerto Vallarta annually. This was our 6th time as guests of Canto del Sol. The hotel is convenient to many attractions. We have 2 children and when we started going to this hotel, they were 5 & 6 years old. There is a great "kids club" and the staff members are fabulous with the children - arts, crafts, games, etc. As the children have aged, they have still found enjoyment from many of the activities. Many of the staff have remained constant over the past 6 years - which is amazing and speaks highly for the hotel, to retain a staff that long in an industry that typically has high turnover and is seasonal. Each year, members of the staff remember us, call us by name and are very attending and engaging. There are nightly shows, great food (with a variety of theme nights for the buffets, as well as 2 additional ala carte restaurants). This is a terrific, family oriented, reasonably priced resort. Highly recommend it! We will go back for our 7th year!
“Hope to Return Someday”
My daughter and I stayed for five days and had a wonderful time. The staff were great and very attentive. While the food was good, a buffet does get a bit boring after awhile, but the drinks were plentiful and not watered down. We were there at a time when many local families were vacationing, but we admired how well behaved the children were and we were able to really relax. Our air conditioning worked great and we were really grateful for that as it was pretty humid. The beach area was small, but very safe. One night staff told everyone who were still out by the pool and bar that a large sea turtle was coming on shore so we all were able to watch it, while security people kept everyone from bothering it - very exciting. We had a fabulous mother-daughter vacation and hope to do it on an annual basis from now on.
“Exceptional Staff and Hotel”
Our stay was amazing. The rooms were clean and big, not super fancy but really nice. The rest of the hotel was much the same, however the pool and the resturant's were top notch. It was close to everything we needed and downtown. The Staff was what made our stay so spetacular. They were all so friendly and kept you entertained and fed. It was alot of fun because of them.
“Extended the trip twice!!”
We cannot reccomend this place enough! we originally went for a 6 day trip to relax and loved it so much we ended up staying 10 nights. The food was delicious and service immpecable. The activities staff were amazing, great fun and put on different shows every night! It was quiet, relaxing and everything we had wanted. We will definately be back next time we visit Vallarta! Excellent choice of Hotel!

“Very nice all inclusive property”
We found the facilities very nice, well maintained, and staff is very helpful. A short cab ride to sights of interest in Puerto Vallarta.
“Very Satisified..... Miss it already!!!”
Just got back on 2/18 from a 7 night stay at the Canto Del Sol Plaza, very nice stay for the money. The hotel is smaller than ones we have stayed at in past years, which made everything very convenient. All employees made every attempt to server and help make the stay pleasant. Food was good, not really a lot of choices, but you NEVER were hungry. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
“great value”
the hotel's staff is very friendly and the service is speedy. the all inclusive is totally worth it. the food is good (by a foodie's standards) and always available. whether it's the restaurant, the snack bar during the hours the restaurant is closed, or room service after hours, it's all included! and the waiters will bring your drinks to the beach!
