“Review”
The hotel was beautiful. There were lots of activities for people of all ages. However, the hotel was very expensive.
“Would recommend”
We had a great time! The rooms were a little dated but very clean. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We went for 4 days to just relax and that is exactly what we did.
“Great trip for fun in the sun”
We had a great time at Dreams in the Dominican Republic. This hotel would be highly recommended and we would definitly go back again. The food was great and there was a wide variety with six restaurnts and a buffet that varried daily. The pool was amazing and the beaches were beautiful. The resort is pretty much in the middle of no where so be ready to just relax at the resort. The only down sides were that the ocean was pretty rough and there was lots of coral so be careful swimming. The beds in the rooms also aren't the most comfortable but you can catch up on some sleep under a tiki hut. Also bring a jacket. The weather was beautiful but the ocean breeze at night cools things down. Make sure you have dress pants and closed toe shoes for the nicer restaurants. Enjoy.
“Satisfaction Guaranteed”
Dreams provided great service, a variety of great foods, daily activities, and entertaining shows every night for families. Out of all our vacations, this was by far the best we have ever been on. If you make arrangments to go, you need to try their spa!!!! Great for families and couples.
“Dreams come true”
A perfect hotel for a perfect stay. Excellent service. Gorgeous swimming pool, much more interesting than the nice beach but with very rough sea. Just a little problem : the children playground, that was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, was closed for heavy maintenance. We should have been informed by the time of booking. Our 2 kids (7 and 9) were very disapointed. However, that will be a good reason to come back soon. Fantastic people, very nice spa. But don't buy souvenirs in the many booths that are installed almost every night. They have nice things but are twice more expensive than the boutiques 7 minutes walking from hotel. Buy only if it's something you really want to and that is not available around. Other important thing : hotel's boutiques have every necessary stuff and are even cheaper than other shops around.
“Great place to stay for anyone”
Great resort! Lots of activities for everyone. Entertainment was excellent!
“Wonderful Relaxed & Friendly Atmosphere”
I loved DREAMS Punta Cana. My husband and I just got back last week from our honeymoon, and we were more than impressed. The hour transfer ride from airport to resort WAS a little rough, as I'd read in many reviews, but not as bad as I expected... We were greeted in the beautiful peach marble lobby with a cold towel and champagne. We spent most of the time on the beach under a thatched roof umbrella or in the pool at the swim up bar. The bartenders and beach waitresses were friendly, funny, and quick... All of the DREAMS employees had smiles on their faces all of the time. The restaurants were great, our favorites were the french restaurant BORDEAUX, which is adult only, and the hibatchi restaurant HIMATSI. The food was good quality, smaller portions than Americans are used to, but that was just fine! You could always head to the World Cafe dinner buffet if you needed more to eat. The Seaside Grill is their "american bbq" type restaurant, stay away from their BBQ ribs, they were mostly bone and cartilage, but the steaks were to die for. My biggest recommendation would be to bring LOTS of dollar bills for tips. If you tip a dollar or two here and there, the service goes up from great to outstanding. We went in June, which was very humid, when we go back we are going to see what times of the year are just a little cooler, but we CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!
“Loved it- would love to go back”
It was better than I could hope for- the food, service and staff were outstanding.
“Would go back”
Staff was very friendly & helpful and most all spoke some English. They all say "hola" whenever they walk past a guest. Food was good; recommend the japaneese and mexican resturants, they were very good. plenty of bars to get drinks and the water is safe to drink. coke, beer and bottled water are stocked in your in room fridge. pool is great and runs nearly the entire length of the hotel. Beach is very rocky and it is easy to get cuts from them rocks. If you are looking to play in the ocean, this is not the right resort for you. Our 5 year old son loved the Explorer's club. Different activites every day. The staff there is great with the kids. They give you a phone if they need to contact you. Take advantage of the letting the kids go to dinner with the Explorer's Club.
