“I'd go back”
I've visited Nantes many times before, but this was my first stay with a studio apt. and kitchenette. It made my trip even more affordable to not have to eat at restaurants every night. The wifi and full, modern bathroom made it very comfortable and convenient. There's a bakery and supermarket right around the corner, and the chateau and historic downtown are in easy walking distance.
“Excellent Value”
The Citea Rennes is in a fantastic location near to the old town in Rennes - much better than a lot of the hotels which are nearer to the train station which is not such a nice area. The staff were friendly and room was cleaned and fresh towels every day. When the electricity went off in our room one morning someone was up within 5 mins to investigate. It was great having the kitchenetteso we could make breakfast andkeep drinks cold etc. Would definitely stay there again.
“Lived up to expectations”
Based on various reviews, I was expecting a clean room with internet access, a friendly, English-speaking staff, and a location near the city center (as opposed to near the train station, a longish walk away from the most interesting part of town). The hotel satisfied all of these expectations. The only thing to carefully watch are the days and hours when the hotel is locked and there is noone in reception(these are clearly noted on the website)to avoid surprises at the time of checkin. Would definitely stay in this hotel (or others in this chain)again...
“Pleasant Surprise”
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. After booking my trip last minute, I had few options to choose from, and was concerned with the previous reviews on this hotel (1 and 2s). I found the hotel to be very clean, rooms to be spacious (small kitchen and table), and very close to Rennes city center (10 minutes walk).
“Clean, comfortable hotel but with no frills”
Hotel was extremely clean, staff were helpful and spoke good English. They were very helpful about giving us 2 rooms next to each other. No problems at all, very enjoyable holiday.
“Very Good”
Good price and overall good service, however my request for one double bed as opposed to two single beds was not met.
“Impressed”
We used this apartment as a stop off on way to Vendee and it was perfect. Not only was the accommodation spacious and comfortable but also well equipped. Although we arrived outside of reception hours, a simple phone call before we left to them was met with an english speaker who gave full easy to follow instructions. Parking was also excellent, only 6 euro for secure underground parking. Would strongly recommend.
“Pros and cons”
This was my second stay at citea ( visiting my daughter who is a student there ) Pros: it is in a quiet location and very near city centre.. Kitchen facilities in room so you can make your own breakfast or dinner or just hot drinks. Anonymity Cons: decor is very basic, beds not very comfortable. The room i was given initially was very small and smelled. I asked to be changed and specified i wanted the type of room i had before ( larger with sofa bed - same price ). the receptionist could not have been less helpful. Finally after insistence the manager appeared who did move us...but it required persistence ( no training in customer service?)
“Very basic appartment style hotel”
A simple, basic but clean hotel suitable for a one night stop over. Limited facilities but close to town centre.
“Second stay at the hotel”
Ideally placed hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room
