“Great hotel”
Very clean
“We will be back!”
The personal at the Hampton were very profesonal. But at the same time made us feel very welcome. We were there for almost two weeks and I always felt that we were welcomed there. My daughter and granddaughter were also saying there, and I never felt that the staff thought they were an imposistion.I can assure you that we will be coming back next year as my parents have a gathering of friends and family the last Saturday in March for the last 30 years, and will continue until they are no longer able to!

Good choice if staying on Interstate 95. Typical for a Hampton Inn: good for easy and comfortable travel. Room seemed new or recently renovated.
“Not much around”
The hotel was nice but not much going on around there. I took my parents so they could visit some friends. Not the best of neighborhoods but the hotel was nice.
“Oh Well...”
Not a bad hotel. Although I found Oreo cookie wrappers behind the clock radio, crumbs, long hair and gum wrappers between the bed sheets (apparently not cleaned or changed) and about 20 scratch off lottery tickets under the mattress (no there were NO winning tickets because I double checked). The actual hot and cold shower knob was coming off in the tub and the cleaning lady did not give us fresh towels the next day. But there was not much of a choice for hotels close to our destination in Hopewell VA. Oh well, I have seen worse hotels!
“Drab and Run down, but the hotel staff were really nice!”
The condition of our room was sub-par. Usually Hampton Inns that I have stayed in are well maintained. In the bathroom, the wallpaper was cracked and peeling. The tile was chipped. The water pressure was so-so. The tap water was metallic in taste. The bed was very comfortable, but the walls were paper thin. The people next door partied into the wee hours of the morning and we could hear everything that went on. A call to the front desk did seem to quiet them down some but it was still difficult to sleep. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, including the cleaning crew..everyone except for the woman running the morning buffet. She seemed put out that we needed "to-go" breakfasts on our way to the airport. The hotel is on a main strip with many chain restaurants and other hotels. It is a busy, loud area that seems somewhat underpriviledged. It is less than 5 minutes to the Fort Lee base. Overall, if you are used to a certain comfort level I would not recommend this hotel.
