“Great for a night's rest”

Heading out for a college visit, we needed a place to stop overnight. The Super 8 was conveniently right off the main highway. Check-in took less than 5 minutes and we were given a ground floor room. The room was slightly musty but very clean. The beds were very comfortable. No problems with water temps or shower. No noise in the hallways or outside to keep us up all night. Overall we had a great night's rest and continued refreshed the next day.

“Richmond Super 8”

We were happy to find an affordable hotel in the location we needed. Our initial impression wasn't too good from the hallway but the room was definitely clean and while this Super 8 was an older hotel it was well kept. The availability of extra towels and pillows could definitely have been better but overall our stay was satisfactory and we would stay there again.

Continental breakfast was a little skimpy but everything was fresh and the eating area was clean and well organized.

“Nothing Super about this 8”

The hotel staff was nice and I didn't have any problems with check-in or check-out. The room was alright at best. I actually had a split stay so I had two different rooms. The first room I could never get the temperature right, I guess you could say that the heater worked REALLY well. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning, lots of mildew around the shower that was just covered with more caulk. When I got there and sat on the bed it sunk in the middle, which I found was merely a King mattress on top of two Full beds pushed together. The walls were also paper thin and I could hear the conversation next door while trying to sleep. The second room was pretty much the same. I was able to get the temperature set better because of experience with the first room. The bed in this room was much more comfortable even though it was the same setup as the first one. We found several pieces of trash in this room that they did not clean out. A used take out bag behind the nightstand and something under the bed, did not want to investigate that one. The bathroom was about the same as the first, but the sink in this room did not drain very well at all. I hate to think of all the stuff stuck in that drain causing that backup. Overall, the rooms were as to be expected I guess. If you can afford it, I would get a better place in the area. This side of Richmond was good because you did not have to deal with the late night trains like the other hotels in Richmond.
