“a fine stay at a nice hotel”
this hotel was just fine. no surprise charge for my dog.and a nice ground floor room.i spent two comfortable,quiet nights here after visiting museums in roanoke.i stayed at red roof inn because i know i will always have a nice room at a reasonable rate.and the dog is always welcome.i would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice room in an easy to get to location and a good place to eat close by..

Have done a great job of updating their hotels. Clean nicely maintained hotel for a low budget inn.
“red roof , Troutville”
All told it was a fine place to stay, however we were only there 1 evening, after visiting a daughter in Christiansburg and returning to other family site in Charlottesville. Signage at the busy intersection accessing route 81 was difficult to see and had to ask directions.
“PCSing nice place to crash military”
dude great staff, awesome manager and close to food and gas. down side no laundry but other than that a great place to stay.

The ice machine didn't work on my floor. The excercise room only had stationary bikes. And the rooms didn't have a fridge nor a microwave.

Pet people are very friendly and there were quite a few pets at the hotel because of the hurricane. Just a nice group of people!

Got there early and let us check in early.The staff were polite and curtious. The rooms where clean and bright. Would stay here again.
“Decent for the price”
Much better than the Howard Johnson's a short distance away!!! Clean, friendly, and indoor pool/hot tub. Would have been a bit better with an in-room microwave and/or mini refridgerator, but made due with the microwave in the lobby. The wi-fi reception was AWFUL and I was just on the 2nd floor. But other than that, it was a nice stay, especially for the price!
“Get what you pay for”
The hotel pool was extremely warm and the hot tub water was very cold. The area was not watched, numerous kids jumping in, not at all an enjoyable time. Fitness area was closed down, no eplanation, just simply a locked door. These were two of the reasons we selected this hotel so it was a disappointing experience. Room was ok, nice bed, no fridge.
