“Pleasant stay.”
Great location, the roof top is fantastic. The bellman was very helpful.
“A wonderful hotel with wonderful service”
You cannot go wrong with this hotel, a good location, beautiful rooms, a fabulous roof terrace with amazing views and excellent service. we would go back tomorrow!
“Nice place to stay”
It was a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It was lovely in the morning to sit and eat your breakfast and look out over Rome.
“Pleasant hotel in Rome - Marcella Royal”
This was a very pleasant hotel, situated near to the terminus in Rome, and about a 20minute walk away from the Trevi Fountain. The hotel staff were always polite and friendly. It has a lovely roof top breakfast room/terrace, and a piano player in the evening. The breakfast was good quality and plenty of choice. The evening food was ok. Room 434 was very nice, large bathroom and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel to all travellers. There are good restaurants in the street the hotel is on if the weather is bad.
“MAGIC AT THE MARCELLA”
The Marcella Hotel is situated in the embassy section of Rome. It is located in a pleasant side street which provides a variety of eating places in the evenings, and a couple of grocers for essentials like bottled water. The interior is spacious, luxurious and air-conditioned, as was our bedroom. The staff were kind and very helpful. Special mention to Rosa our chambermaid and Edwin our porter! The roof terrace provides a magical view of the city, both day and night, and the included breakfast is comprehensive and excellent. In the evening there is a snack service and bar on the roof. I found the snack that we had to be both expensive and served on poor quality bread, and there is not a lot left when the snack is a sandwich. I would definitely use this hotel again.
“Nice boutique hotel with great terrace!”
Very helpful staff. Not in the city center but all close enough to walk. Enjoyed the sunsets over Rome during dinner on terrace. Breakfasts were a feast. Very nice stay!
“We will return”
The hotel could not have been better, the best we have stayed in on a city break. We preferred not to stay in the centre and used the 62 bus to get everywhere. Lovely view from hotel 7th floor restaurant a bit chilly in February to sit outside but would be great in warmer weather. The buffet breakfast had a great selection with lots of wonderful pastries. (no good for the waistline) We hope to return soon.
“Great Hotel, lovely staff”
The hotel itself was really nice, we had a lovely little balcony which overlooked the street but it was lovely and quiet and easy to sleep. Bed was vey comfy and the room had a little tv where you could want Sky films plus selection o sports Little sweets were left on the pillows every night which was a nice touch. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Loved the hotel, the location and the people in it - cocktails on the roof terrace was fab as well as breakfast. There were some lovely restaurants nearby and Angelino on the reception was soo helpful even arranging football tickets to the Roma match.
“Lovely and Helpful Staff”
Friendly and welcoming staff - excellent customer service, especially Salvatore in the wonderful roof garden restaurant, where the substantial and delicious breakfast was served. Lovely views across to central Rome. Pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the Barberini Palace and the Metro. Would have liked a slightly larger room, however it was very clean and comfortable and there was a note and a sweet on the pillow each evening, wishing us Good night. We would definately stay there again.
“Very Impressed”
The hotel was really nice and staff very friendly and helpful, the rooftop bar was a good place to sit and unwind with a glass of wine at the end of an exhausting day of sightseeing. It is a 10 min walk from the termini station and the train from the airport was 35 mins and so much cheaper than a taxi. The first stop on the tour buses was also near the termini and its only a 25 min walk to the Trevi Fountain. The room was a good size and very clean, we had a street facing room and it was slightly noisy. I would definately stay here again.
