“Cant wait ot go back ...had a blast”

“VERY NICE, DESPITE REVIEWS”
stayed at this hotel because they were pet friendly, and that is no lie. the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. answered any questions we had and helped find anything we needed. the grounds are great to take dogs out for walks and is right next to a beautiful lake in a quiet area. the room was clean, updated and large. booked room despite reviews, did not find anything that the reviews were talking about in our room, glad i took the risk, it paid off and we got an excellent room at a good rate.

“Lake San Marcos”
The hotel was very nice. Our room was actually upgraded when we requested a ground floor room due to issues with taking the stairs. The pools were wonderful. There were two of them, one deeper for adults. We did notice that the whirlpool was only hot on one of the three days.
“Great stay and Great price”
The hotel has a great staff and the room was very clean and comfortable. It is an older resort and shows some signs of its age. But overall it was a great stay and we will return.
“Quiet on the water - great value!”
The hotel was simple, clean, no fancy amenities. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood directly overlooking a quaint reservoir surrounded by private homes. Very quiet. A great value for the money.
“Nice Place”
The first room was okay except the guy next door was outside smoking cigars all day and night. After talking with front desk we were moved to another room and the stay was great

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, pools and jacuzzi were nice and the lake was beautiful. Enjoyed chatting with families staying at the hotel. The hotel is just far enough away from the ocean to not be affected by the "June gloom" (heavy overcast skies). Wonderful place to stay.
“Quiet, comfortable hotel”
This was a pleasant hotel. We went with two young children, and it was quiet. The staff was very helpful. It was a little far from the zoo for traveling. This is a hotel, not a "resort", but a very nice place to stay. Enjoyed it, and will stay there again (as long as the price is comperable)
“Great room, maybe a little too far from San Diego.”
The hotel was great. Coming on I-15 from Vegas makes this hotel a closer stop than San Diego if you're traveling at night. We went arrived in our hotel Friday night and went to Sea World Saturday. The drive back to San Marcos from downtown San Diego was nice but a little far. (45 to 60 minutes.) I would stay there again for the travel night but I don't think for the second day. It was just too inconvient to drive. The hotel staff and the room were great. The lake front rooms weren't available when I booked but they looked great!
