The Guild is in a great spot. It's just a couple blocks from the water and makes getting around the city very easy. The hotel itself is very nice and has an upscale boutique feeling. The staff are friendly. The only things I didn't really like... they say that they're pet friendly but in reality they should say that they allow pets. Very different than being pet friendly. There are no pet relief areas on the property, or in the immediate area outside. Pets are not allowed in most parts of the hotel either. Plus for an old girl like mine, the only way in or out is up and down the stairs up front. I found a nice grassy area a couple blocks away but it's not convenient.
The other thing that's both good and bad is that they charge a $35 resort fee. But then they give you a $35 credit to the bar/restaurant. At least you get something back for the resort fee, but I'd rather go explore the city than to eat at the hotel which I feel like I'm forced to do to avoid wasting the $.
