“Wonderful Hotel and Location”
Santorini is a magical place and staying at the Absolute Bliss hotel made it that much better. The hotel is located in Imerovigli which is a smaller town between Oia and Fira. I think it is the BEST location in all of Santorini because it is quiet and less crowed than either Fira and Oia. It also is the most perfect place for viewing the sunsets. The hotel is built into the cliff-side and affords perfect, unobstructed views of the caldera. The hotel opened in 2008 and is very nice. The staff is most helpful. Breakfast was served in our room every day. You get to choose your breakfast items everyday, so you don't get bored with the offerings. The cheese and spinach pies were very good, as were the chocolate croissants. The furnishings are very simple, but tasteful. Most Greek hotel rooms are sparsely decorated, so this was not a surprise. But, I wouldn't want it any other way in an island resort. We also had a hot tub out on the deck!! Free WiFi was also available. All in all, it was a perfect place to stay on a wonderful island. One note, the hotel is a little hard to find unless you know exactly where it is. If you call the hotel when you arrive, they'll provide instructions on how to get there and will meet you on the street. ALSO, the hotel (as most hotels in Santorini) is NOT wheelchair accessible.
“Excellent location, fantastic staff, best view”
This is an excellent location for this hotel, set between the 2 main cities. This is a new small boutique hotel, very clean, nice pool area, and very nice Caldera Sea Views. The balconies are private, where breakfast is served, and the sun sets are truly the best on the island. The staff need mention, as they will go overboard, truly, to make you happy. The staff are exceptional in fact, very service oriented, and really will take all requests and make you happy. This is a romantic hotel, for couples, and is set on the cliffs, so there is alot of walking up and down stairs. The hotel is a fairly easy walk on the main pathway to the city, about a 45 minute walk, and there is a mini market right above the hotel. However, there is no restaurant right in the hotel, there are only about 6-8 rooms. But breakfast is extensive. We would go back to this hotel and we are accustomed to luxury resorts, because of the staff, the location, the views, and it is spotless. The only caution is that this hotel is a bit hard to find, no signs, but it is easy to see from the pathway. So park at the mini mart, go down any sets of stairs,and you will see the signs on the pathway. This hotel would be best for couples who are fit enough to climb a lot of steps to get to and from. Very relaxing. I recommend a car if you stay here.
