Rocabella was originally created as its owner’s family summer home, at the most ravishing sunset and Caldera view spot of Santorini Island, right by the volcanic cliff, but without the exhausting up and down steps that other Caldera view hotels usually have. Rocabella was transformed into a 4 star hotel with deluxe Suites and SPA , but still has that “homey” atmosphere: welcoming, inviting, intimate, relaxing, romantic, simple, minimal, and deluxe … All rooms and Suites are equipped with mini bar, A/C, hairdryer, safe deposit box, satellite TV/DVD, WI FI, and all other modern amenities, in an ideal combination with the chic and simple deluxe decoration and furniture.Santorini, this masterpiece of nature, is a result of prehistoric volcanic eruptions combined with ages of native craftsmen building tradition that have turned primitive local materials such as lava stones and volcanic ashes into organic Cycladic forms and smoothly treated surfaces, stony or whitewashed walls, and vaulted ceilings. “Great staff. Super helpful. Went out of their way to help us with all needs.”
Staff was the most helpful that I have ever scene. We needed help changing our Ferry tickets, and they rushed to a travel agent for us and changed them. They gave us complimentary wine, and they helped us with directions and activities planning.
“Beautiful views and quality hotel, wonderful”
Hotel is just what we wanted, was the end of our 3 week trip and I wanted the few days to just sit and relax, we got this with a beautiful view of the Caldera, breath taking, only down fall not near township, drinks and meals quite expensive, recommend to buy some supplies before you arrive to Hotel, water, drinks, snacks, the rest you can get from the hotel, We did eat at the cafe next door one night which was a bit more reasonable and food was good, Shame would have loved some greek food Beds where comforable, pools beautiful, supplied breakfast wonderful and staff lovely, would love to return for longer next time and would hire a bike.
“Not cheap, but worth it.”
Spectacular view of the caldera! This lovely hotel/resort is located on the Fira-Ia hiking path. Only drawback - for people of limited mobility or heart/lung problems - there are steps involved, usually quite a few, to go between your room and the office, the pool, the bar, the breakfast room. We had the "cave room" - very large, comfortable, and definitely unique. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Would go back there again, given the chance.
“Geat Choice”
We were very happy with our stay at the Rocabella. From the outset we were greeted and assisted well by manager Anthony who immediately arranaged for us motorcycle rental which delivered the bike to the hotel, restaurant reservations in Oia and a wine tasting tour. We were then lead to our room which had a terrace with a breathtaking view of the sunset (best viewing area on the island) had a very reasonably priced better trhan averege meal in the hotel restaurant, and then a swim in one of the five swimming pools that are scattered among the hotel's terraced areas. The hotel provided a complimentaery bottle of wine and fruit upon arrival, a very nice touch. Also all staff members were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, and appeared to work very hard at making our stay enjoyable, If I had to make any criticism it would be that the room was small (not a problem in itself) and had no closet or armoire for clothing storage. This was not a problem for us because we were traveling extremely lightly, but this could be problematic for others. Also the bathroom could use a little brightening. These are small nits however, overall an excellent experiece and Rocabella will be our choice of hotel when we return to Santorini.
“The view”
We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff who escorted us to our suite. The hotel is on the edge of the caldera, with no buildings blocking the view. The room is 'traditional' Santorini building with whitewashed walls. Sauna style bathroom. Very comfy room with large flat screen TV and air conditioning. Wine upon arrival. The view from the room is breathtaking. The hotel was undergoing rennovations, so we were able to enjoy breakfast in our room with a view worth every cent.
“Absolutely stunning view”
I would stay at this hotel again and again. The view is postcard beautiful. Each staff member is great and helpful. The location is perfect, as it is midway between Oia and Fira. Rocabella hotel makes any stay in Santorini more memorable. The sunset from the hotel is a treat to watch each evening. I honestly don't think there is a better place to stay in Santorini.

“A wonderful retreat”
The level of service provided at Rocabella is excellent. From the bottle of chilled wine on arrival to the chilled water constantly topped up while lounging by the pool, the staff are friendly and very accommodating. Location is private but only a short walk to Imerovigli which has wonderful tavernas.
“The most beautiful view”
Rocabella is located in one of the best areas of the island. The area is beautiful and the view is perfect to complete the gorgeous experience.
