"We liked our stay at The Scott. The hotel does not look fancy outside, but that does not matter. The bed was good, the bathroom very clean with great shower products. No fridge available. Our room was facing the main Street what was nice. Parking was easy (although it seems that spaces are limited) and very convenient when travelling by car. Check in and check out easy. The hotel is well located and we can really recommend it. We would stay again. "

"We had to ask about the parking and we had to park behind the church. There was limited dining we had to eat elsewhere. The continental breakfast was limited but the poached eggs on toast was good, the bar wasn't open. It took a while for the hot water to come through the shower. It needs to be updated but overall the stay was good. "

"Very large room, clean and tidy with a sink. Shared restroom with other rooms on the floor. It was nice to have breakfast daily and not a far walk from the main part of the city. There is also bus stops and a train station near by. "

"I met the hotel's owner and they were very polite and welcoming. The hotel had everything that I needed for my weekend stay in Edinburgh. It was a delight (!) to stay there and would recommend them. The hotel is getting renovated which shows that the owner cares about the customers needs."

"First time staying here and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spacious and airy , bed very comfortable. Welcome pack was good. Shower was great and bathroom was immaculate. My only suggestion was to add a handrail inside the shower and maybe a small corner shelf for shampoo, conditioner , shower gel it’s much better for someone disabled. "Very friendly and accommodating staff. Plentiful breakfast of meat, cheese, bread, cereal, juices - help yourself! Wonderful home baking (especially muffins and lemon drizzle). Nigel is helpful and goes out of his way to ensure you are happy with your environment. Good TV channels for the evening after you have done the sights and the beds are comfortable with soft duvets. Well positioned for public transport but ensure you check timetables as transport can be infrequent. We’d happily return and...

"The property is beautiful and our host was lovely. We had booked the Bonny Prince Charlie Suit for the use of the hot tub, and were a little turned off to find out (upon arrival) that there was an extra charge to use the hot tub, even though we paid more for the room to be able to use it. It kind of put a bad taste in our mouth for the rest of the stay. The in-room provided breakfast was quite lovely, with a lot of options."
